Preached ON 23RD FEBRUARY, 2020 BY PASTOR UZOR IKWUAGWU @ THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD NSUKKA (ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA)
YOU HAVE NEED OF THIS TRUTH, FOR WHEN YOU ARE BALANCED, FULLY ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN THE TRUTH, YOU WILL NEVER BE AFRAID OF ANY AMAZEMENT BY DAY OR BY NIGHT. LET THE HEAVENS FALL, LET THE FLOOD CARRYOUT THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE, LET THERE BE FIRE THAT WILL ENGULF THE WHOLE EARTH, LET THERE BE HURRICANE OR TYPHOON, IT DOES NOT CONCERN YOU.
What is Your Spiritual Stand Point at this Hour? Vol. 1 preached 16th Sept. 2018 pg 21:73-74.
1
TRUST THE LORD COMPLETELY
Trust the Lord completely. Do not have any time you begin to trust yourself. ‘I can do that’. If not that Peter trusted himself that he can never do that, that he can never betray Jesus; if he had leaned on God’s favor to help him not to betray him, he could not have betrayed him.
2. Is it not Jesus Christ that said Satan wanted to have you three times but I have prayed for you. That same person would have also prayed for him not to do that but he was like, how can I, and God allowed it to come to pass to show him that without Him, he can do nothing. Trust not in thyself.
3. “In everything you do, put God first and He will direct you and crown your effort with success.” And He will direct you and crown your efforts with success but if you try to put yourself first, if you put yourself first or put your relations first or put your teacher first or you put your other people first, your efforts will not be crowned with success.
4. Asking your fellow student questions on things your fellow student don’t know when you have the master around could be disastrous. Many times the master will be on the board teaching, some students will be confused about that thing the master is teaching, you will ask your fellow student, what is he saying? When your fellow students also don’t understand. Instead of saying sir, I don’t understand this.
5. The master is there to clear all your doubts, you will be running up and down, you will ask this person, ask this person, at the end of the day, that person will end up misleading you and now you will return back to Almighty God when havoc is underway.
6. That is why He said “if you are making any movement without my knowledge, while on your way back, just go straight”. Is that not the message? If you feel that God is now your spare-tyre, when everything has gone bad, when everything has gone sore, you now know that there is somebody you can repose your trust on; you now go for his help.
7. Perhaps when the thing was trying to get bad, if you had met him the thing would not have gotten to the point it got to. But you keep on meeting people that will keep on deceiving you, deceiving you until you land yourself in a big shit where you can no longer come out again.
8. You now remember that there is God, that you are worshipping God. The prodigal son kept on coming back, wailing, wailing. First of all, he misused the whole money his father gave him. Started to eat all kinds of food.
9. Food meant for pigs. Taking food meant for pigs. Is it not an iniquity? A prince. A time came in his life after doing that thing for a while, he said no, this is too much. After all, I am a prince.
10. Even in my father’s palace I can be serving them there. Even the servants in my father’s palace eat better food than people out here, let me go back there. He went back.
11. Was he rejected? Rather his position was restored and Jesus Christ used it as a parable in his own day. The prodigal son. No matter what you have done.
12. No matter what your situation is, we have a man in our midst that can say otherwise concerning that situation provided you are willing to obey him implicitly.
13. God told us that there must be a man coming from the opposite direction to give us a helping hand. You must meet a man from the opposite direction. You don’t have to begin to think, this God has left me o.
14. Once you are trusting in Him, once you are doing all He told you to do, relax. Even when He is telling you, you are this, you are that, remain steadfast because at the end God must surely show you mercy. We are serving a merciful father. The problem is, have you acknowledged Him to be your God? That is the problem. When they accosted Jesus Christ in his own day and was asking him, what shall we do that we might do the works of God.
15. What must we do that we might do the works of God? What did Jesus Christ tell them? Believe in Him whom he has sent. Finish, is there any other added thing? Believe, only believe. But our problem is that most of us have not believed.
16. Before you will do what I ask you to do you must first of all believe that I am greater than you. If a child of five years will tell you to kneel down. Will you do it? Or your five-year-old son tells you, ‘come and kneel down here’.
17. Why don’t you kneel down? But when somebody you know is above you tells you, kneel down there, before even you know it you are already keeling down. Go down to the road and misbehave and a soldier, a military man tells you, kneel down there, before he finishes you are already kneeling down because you know what is awaiting you if you don’t kneel down.
18. Greater than the greatest commander is in our midst. Greater than the greatest armed force is in our midst. Greater than the greatest field marshal is in our midst, commanding everything and we cannot respect Him. We are not having dealings with a mere man.
19. In flesh He is ordinary man. He can do all those things you do in flesh. All those things you do in flesh He can do them. That is why He said in John 7, you know me, you know where I am coming from but He that is inside me, you do not know.
20. A masquerade may come out, without the masquerade showing you the person inside you will not know him. He will come out and demonstrate, demonstrate, demonstrate, without him coming to show you who is in the mask, you will not know.
21. You will see him as a masquerade and you know it is a crime for that masquerade to show you his face and you say, “I know who is in the mask, do you know it is Linus, do you know it is this person that is wearing the mask?” He will butcher you with machete there.
22. Is it because we know Him, we know where He has come from, we know His clan, we know He is from Mbaise. Is it why He has become so common to us? Is it why his words mean nothing to us? He tells you to do A, you reason it, let me first of all go and consult my people; wait let me go and consult with my relatives first to know whether it can be done.
23. When you have the power to do what He told you to do you say, let me go and discuss with my people. Why didn’t you discuss with them before coming to Him? This shows you have other plans better than His.
24. 1 John 2:1: “My little children, these things write I unto you that ye sin not. And if any man sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: the father.” KJV.
25. If any man sin, we have an advocate with the father. We have an intercessor. That anchor is grounded. We have an advocate in Son of Man.
26. “My little children, I am telling you this so that you will stay away from sin but if you sin, there is someone to plead for you before the father”. LB
27. There is someone to do what? If we know that we have this person in our midst why do we misbehave? Our duty should be always to do that thing that pleases Him so that when our cases are brought before Him, he will say I see no iniquity in this guy. This guy, there is no iniquity in Him, leave him alone.
28. When Satan will accuse you, he will say Satan I reject all your accusations. He can only do that if you do those things that please Him. He only did that because Joshua did those things that pleased Him.
29. But if Joshua did those things that annoyed Him, He will tick good to all the things that Satan said. Satan went to God to take permission before he tempted Job, and God gave him that permission.
30. So in other words, God tempted Job through Satan. He told him, make sure you don’t touch his soul. When he got there did he outdo what God told him to do? He never touched his soul. He did all the things he did but he never touched Job’s soul.
31. He that all the powers in the whole world listens to, is He not worthy of our respect, submission and adoration? If Job was not behaving rightly do you think He would have told Satan, not to touch his soul? He will say go and finish that young man.
32. Go and finish that young man and Satan will be very happy because Satan is fond of moving to and fro seeking whom to devour. So because Job was doing those things that pleased Almighty God, He said, never you touch his soul.
33. Have we found ourselves in that situation where God will say to devil, don’t get close to this my man. This guy is innocent; I reject all your accusations. With Him, everything is possible. You can be a sinner, a criminal and God will declare you righteous. Is it not in the scripture?
34. A wise person will only make that person friend. Be a friend of that fellow so that any iniquity you mistakenly find yourself in, He will say, ‘devil this your accusations, yes I believe, I am not doubting that he didn’t do all this but this man I have purposed to bless him and there is no inequity in him, I reject your accusation. Get away from here’.
35. You will know the kind of fellow you are before God will make such statement on your head, you must be close to Him and what do you do to be close to His heart?
36. Do those things that please Him, obey his words, finish. What does a child do that makes his father like him more than others? It is that child that always does those things that the father likes.
37. If anything happens to him the father can even sell everything he has to make sure he delivers him. But there are some children that their father will say, take him away, I don’t need him here.
38. What will make the father to like this one and hate the other one? That is the same relationship between us and God. What will make God to say that thing on your head, I mean to tell Satan, “go away I cannot believe all these things you are saying. This young man is right. This guy is innocent”.
39. What will make God to say that? It is when you have believed in Him first, and all the things He is telling you to do, you are doing those things, that makes Him very happy.
40. Just like in school. When you notice someone is more intelligent than you, whatever the person is doing you will always be close to that person, you will become the person’s tight friend.
41. You will be pampering him and even buying food for him, especially during exam. You have an aim of doing those things, so that on the exam day if you call him he will answer you.
42. But if you were not doing all those things for him, if you call him during exam, do you think he will listen to you? He may even say, this young man is disturbing me here please come and relocate me.
43. Invigilator will come and move you to the front where all eyes will be on you. We are using this to type something. I am using worldly things to type spiritual things. You have to please that person for you to get his favour but the only pleasing that God needs from us now is what? Obedience.
44. That is the only pleasing. So if you know that thing God told you to do, do it and He will be happy with you. If you have made Him your counsellor, anything He counsels you to do, do it. Don’t go and seek other adviser that you feel will know better than God.
45. What a child does to be very close to the father is what? Doing those things that please the father. And any child that always does things that please the parents every time, there is nothing that will be befall him that will make his parents abandon him.
46. But there is one that will fall into problem, the parents will say, ‘you have fallen into problem and you are calling me now, you will suffer. I have been setting trap for you, this problem has caught you now, you will hear it.’
47. After saying it he will cut the call. But to another child, he will say no-no-no, where are you? Even if it is twelve in the midnight he will go out in search of him. But that child did something before he became close to his father.
48. That is what we have to do towards Almighty God because the relationship between husband and wife is likened to the relationship between God and His church, you will see it in Ephesians 5:21.
49. Is it not what is there? The relationship between the husband and the wife should be the relationship between Christ and the church. Christ is our husband man, our aim as wife now is to do what?
50. To do that which will please Almighty God, because He has first loved us. That is why the scripture in that Ephesians 5:21 told us that the wife must do what? Respect her husband.
51. That is the work God gave to wives. That is the position God gave to wives. They must do whatever they do to make sure they respect their husbands, and the work of the husband is to love the wife. The work is divided.
52. So if you ignore your own, don’t expect the other one to come through. If you leave your own position to begin to love Instead of respecting the man, honouring the man.
53. You will be like; I love the man so much and when the man will tell you to do something, you disrespect him, you will not do it and after you tell him you love him, will it work?
54. That place God divided the work. And now when we are typing our relationship with Almighty God, our duty is to do what? Respect Almighty God, obey Him, reverence Him, do everything He tells us to do and God’s duty now is to do what? Love us.
55. He will inevitably love us because we have done our own part of the deal. We use that to type the relationship between the husband and wife. Because relationship with husband and wife is relationship with God and the church.
56. Once we keep reverencing God; What does it mean to reverence God? Obeying Him, whatever He tells you to do, you do it. It is not when you see Him you keep shivering. A child that is doing all those things that the father wants will he shiver in the presence of the father? Even in the presence of the father he may be playing ball.
57. The father will tell him, common stop that thing, he will stop. He will even help the father in removing his clothe. The father will not find fault with what he is doing.
58. But let it be that child that is a problem child, every little thing he does is a problem. So we all have to work ourselves into the heart of the father, and that father is in our midst; so that whatever he tells us to do we will do it, when anything happens to us He will stand in the gap.
59. Because we have a man who can turn on the light. We also have a man who can turn off the light. Anything He wants to do, He can do it without receiving counsel from anybody. Who has ever been God’s counsellor?
60. Nobody has at any time counseled God, no one has ever instructed God saying God do it this way. Put your hand in the scripture, it is not there.
61. Job 9:4: “He is wise in heart and mighty in strength: Who hath hardened himself against Him, and hath prospered?” KJV.
62. Who has ever rejected God’s counsel and prospered? Who has ever relinquished God to background and prospered? That is a question.
63. “For God is so wise and so mighty, who has ever opposed him successfully?” LB
64. Who has ever opposed him successfully. Even when Jacob wanted to oppose God, did he succeed? When he tried to win God, God was like; this young man you have strength o, he now entered second function.
65. You know God was in his human form wrestling with Jacob, when Jacob wanted to overpower God he now entered second function. There is where we call second function in calculators we used those days in secondary school, when we press that one you now enter a higher stage.
66. God now entered his godly stage and finished him. He started to walk one side, he started to limp; he now knew that it is Almighty God. That was the place he said I will never let you go unless you bless me.
67. So what are we saying, what and what can you do to get yourself in God’s mind? Read that place again. Use King James, I like that King James. Who has ever opposed God successfully?
68. Job 9: 4: “He is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who hath hardened himself against him and had prospered?” KJV
69. Who hath hardened his heart against God? Who hath rejected God’s counsel and prospered? When God tells you to do this and you say no, I will do it my own way. Have you ever prospered doing it your own way?
70. You say no, I will do it my own way. He will simply relax and watch you. He will relax. He will just relax. He will relax and watch you because He knows the end of whatever you are doing. At first the whole thing may be going very fine.
71. Remember Proverb says, there is a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is death. You don’t know that He is watching you, knowing the end of that your project. Whatever you are doing, He knows the end from the beginning.
72. Before you know it, something will now happen even in the midst of success, in the midst of success. Because He is Almighty, He will put something that will make that thing to halt so that you will now remember His word.
73. Has He done it before? Remember what He did yesterday, He will still keep doing it today and will do it tomorrow because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. So don’t think that you can over-power God by doing whatever you want to do.
74. You don’t know He is waiting for you somewhere, when you are almost finishing, He will now put something there; and the whole thing will come to zero.
75. Was it not what happened to Former Dr. Francis Nwufo? He said that he was the Son of Man in the North. He went and was building a very mighty synagogue. At the end of the whole thing, they could no longer recognize that site again.
76. When he was doing it, he was succeeding? Was he not succeeding? He was succeeding. He was saying, yes, let me show you people what the Son of Man is like, not this one you people have in the East. Let me show you people what the Son of Man is like, and he finished everything.
77. The whole interior was decorated. Everything was in place. Who has ever opposed God and prospered or succeeded? Read that King James again. I like that word. Who has ever hardened his heart against God?
78. “Who is wise in heart and mighty in strength, Who had hardened himself against Him and had prospered who had hardened his heart against Him and prospered?”
79. Can you pinpoint one person? So we should even be happy that God has decided to be our counsellor. Is it easy to have somebody like God to be your counsellor? At a time like this you have God as your counsellor.
80. He can never counsel you to do wrongly knowing that all He will counsel you to do are right because no iniquity is found in God. Nobody has ever hardened his heart against Him and prospered, put your hand in the scripture you cannot find it there.
81. Isaiah 26:4 “always Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”
82. Trust ye in the Lord Jehovah, the Son of Man, for in Him is what? Everlasting strength. He is a counsellor that cannot fail you. He is a counsellor that will always be there with you. His counsel will always stand. Even when everybody is seeing it to be failing, it will stand.
83. “Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.” LB
[NOT IN YOUR OWN STRENGTH]… YOU SEE WHY GOD SAID, “LET NOT THE STRONG MAN BOAST IN HIS STRENGTH.” [JEREMIAH 9:23 – 24] NOT OF HIM THAT WILLETH, NOT OF HIM THAT RUNNETH, BUT GOD THAT SHOWETH MERCY. [ROMANS 9:16] NOT IN YOUR OWN STRENGTH, BUT GOD HIMSELF WHO HAS ALWAYS BEEN WORKING IN YOU. OH NO! [NOT IN YOUR OWN STRENGTH] FOR IT IS GOD WHO IS ALL THE WHILE… IF YOU WERE ALLOWED TO THRIVE, TO USE YOUR STRENGTH, YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN WEARIED OUT LONG AGO. TOO MANY THINGS WOULD HAVE STUMBLED YOU OUT.
WHO HAS BEEN GOD’S COUNSELOR? PREACHED ON 26TH MARCH, 2017 PG. 122:47-48

YOUR STRENGTH MUST
COME FROM GOD
In the Almighty God, the Son of Man is our everlasting what? Everlasting strength. A strength that does not diminish.
2. A strength that remains the same from ages to ages. Ephesians 6:10. “Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord mighty power.” Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must do what?
3. “Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord mighty power within you” Stop there. Your strength must come from where? From God.
4. Don’t ever repose your strength on yourself saying I can do it. If you do it by yourself God being an Almighty can along the way put stumbling block for you to fall and He will be somewhere watching you.
5. That is when you now remember that it is God that you are having dealings with. He must surely do that which makes Him God. You will see the people outside doing it, you say I will do it and succeed, there is nothing there.
6. God will tell you, do it this way, don’t do it like people in the world, you say no my friends are doing it and it’s working for them, why can’t I do it that way? God will allow you, you follow your strength. It maybe something about investment, you follow your friends and you put your money there when God told you not to put your money there.
7. God will make sure you will be seeing green light. You will be seeing green light until you deposit that your money. The green light will be there until you deposit your money. That money will go in and the red light will show.
8. The red light will now show and you will not have the effrontery, the gut, to come back to tell Him, Daddy do you know that this and that happened to me.
9. You will not have the got to stand before Him. If He asks you, ‘go straight to the point.’ What will you say? If God asks you why? will you be able to answer that question? Who has ever answered that question successfully? Who has ever opposed God successfully?
10. The counsel of the Almighty God is the final, why can’t you accept it as He has said it? The way He said it is the way it should go, no plus, no minus. If you try to add you are getting into problem. If you try to subtract you are getting into problem. Just the way He said it is the way it should go.
11. Many people that had tried something when God told them to do it in a different way, had always come back to say I nearly died. It is just that we have a merciful father in our midst that does not punish us according to our level of iniquity.
12. Because if it were to be in the days of Moses, any disobedience attracts death penalty. Is It not what we read here from this message, Who Has Been God’s Counsellor?
13. Zephaniah 3:17:“For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you.” LB
14. The Lord our God have arrived to live among us. Don’t we have the Son of Man among us? Is He not living among us? We should all repose our trust, everything, on Him knowing that we have the master guide.
15. Whatever He tells us to do, we will do. (song –where he leads me I will follow) is it not our song? Where He leads me I will follow. No matter the circumstance, He is our mighty guide. Whatever He tells us to do we must do.
16. “For the Lord your God have arrived to live among you. He is a mighty saviour” He is a mighty savior. He is a what? Do we have any other counsellor apart from Him? Do we? Iheanyi na-acho n’uko elu nozi anyi n’uko ala. Wetin we dey find for Sokoto dey for our Shokoto.
17. Do we still go to Sokoto to look for that thing? What we have been looking for all these years, we prayed for, we kneel down we pray, we close our eyes, we will be praying to that Almighty God living in the third heaven or seventh heaven.
18. You will be praying and having imagination of what probably He looks like. How that person will look like. You will paint a picture that heaven is His abode and earth is His foot stool.
19. You will be imagining how that person will look like and all of a sudden, you now see that person how He is. He comes and explains and opens your eyes of understanding to know that He is not as people paint Him to be. See how He looks like, He is ordinary man like you and I, very simple person. Very simple personality.
20. You see Him wearing His sandals and walking up and down. This man is worthy to be worshipped. This man is worthy to be worshipped. A man that have transformed the lives of many. He that can change the destiny of a young man. Is that person not to be feared? He that has the power to change the destiny of Jabez.
21. He that can change your destiny overnight and you become a different person all together. Is He not worthy to be feared and worshipped? And that person has come down in our midst. Read that place again.
22. “For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. he is a mighty savior. He will give you victory. He will rejoice over you with a great…”
23. He will love you and not accuse you. He will love us and not accuse us. All accusations of the devil He will say, Satan I reject this, I reject all of them.
24. This young man is free. He does not have any guilt in him. “Is that a joyous choir I hear? No, it is the Lord Himself exalting over you with happy songs. I have gathered your wounded and taken away your reproach.”
25. This man has come to take away our reproach. To rewrite over our destinies. Those doors the enemies have closed in our lives. He has come to do what?
26. Open them and those ones the enemies opened in our lives, He has come to do what? Close them. Is this man not worthy to be worshipped? He has done more that we can say. Many of his works are illustrious and we can see many of them.
27. He that can turn on the light. He that can change the situation, he can make a u-turn in your life, only obey. Look at the simple instance in our midst, brother Uche Udo. See brother Uche Udo, when he came down to Nsukka, here he learnt how to be a chemist as profession and believe you me, if he had gone to open chemist store he could not have been where he is today.
28. God told him leave that side, open shop. Today see where God has landed him. That is what? The fruit of obedience. But if he had said no, this is not the kind of business I want to do, imagine me? I tell you, there are so many people God told what to do in this faith and they refused to obey and their condition became worse and it is getting worse by the day.
29. And even here, there are many people God has told what to do and they refused, has their cases become different? It is getting worse by the day. We don’t want A+ or A-. We want A. we don’t want B+ or B-, we want B.
30. A perfect guide in our midst why do we misbehave? unless we have not believed that He has the power to guide us rightly.
So what are we saying? If you are obedient to God, you must reap the rich benefits of being obedient.
31. God will come to you personally, tell you what you should do, a personal statement, see what is required of you. If you must make it in this life, see what you must do.
32. After telling you all you have to do, you go back, maybe to reason with your wife, you reason with your wife, reason with everybody. You will reason yourself out of the grace of God. Who has ever opposed God successfully? I am saying that with God all things are possible, only if you believe.
33. If you believe, all things will be possible Jesus Christ told them, humanly speaking, it is not possible. They asked him, how can man make heaven if he must sell all he has? Peter said, seeing that we have left all we had and followed you, now what is required of us?
34. What is our gain? He said, humanly speaking it is not possible but with God all things are possible. Humanly speaking, nobody can make that heaven. Humanly speaking, nobody can get to that place but with God all things are possible.
35. He told them, prompt and plain, humanly speaking, it is not possible but with God all things are possible. Put your trust in me (God) and I will see you through, finish.
36. We should be happy that we have a counsellor like Almighty God. Happy is that man that has God as his counsellor because he can never do anything wrongly. Everything he does will be right because God can never mislead the person.
37. If you have an authority teaching you in a particular subject, you will become an authority in that subject too. I am telling you from experience. If you have an authority as your teacher in a particular subject, anywhere you go in the world you will become an authority.
38. You will quote your master and when people will hear who your master is and they will nod their head. That was why Paul could boast that he has Gamaliel as his master. Because there is an aura guiding that your master, much more when you now have God as your master, as your counselor.
39. Jeremiah 10:12, we want to see this human being that has come down in our midst to dwell with us. Remember I didn’t say God, I said human being, so that you don’t take it very far. Because if you are calling God, people will be reasoning, taking it very very far. He is a human being and He is God; 100% human being, 100% God. Not 50-50.
40. “But our God formed the earth by His power and wisdom”. See this man that we are talking about. He formed the foundation of this world.
41. “But our God formed the earth by his power and wisdom and by his intelligence he hung the stars in space” By his what? He hung the stars. Who has such power to keep those stars; never falling.
42. For the law of gravity says: anything that goes up must come down. Why is the star never coming down? Who held it there? Who used His intelligence to hang it there? Who used His intelligence to hang all those things there? That is the same God we are talking about today.
43. That is the same God we are talking about in human form today and that God has come down like Zephaniah said, He has come down to dwell with us.
44. He didn’t deem any other place fit to stay other than with us. Is it not a privilege? Do you think that Almighty God cannot make a place for Himself up there in the sky and stay; what if he said;
45. ‘I don’t want have any dealings with all these people here, they are my creatures, otherwise they will start to ridicule me, let me just stay here.’
46. He will invoke air there and make that place even better than earth but He said no. He came down and dwelt with all of us here. It is a privilege. A rare privilege.
47. “But our God formed the earth by his power and wisdom. And by his intelligence he hung the stars in space and stretched out the heavens”.
48. And stretched out the heavens. See the heavens. See how they look like. See how he spread it like mat. King James, “He has made the earth by his power”.
49. He has made the earth by His what? Power. Is it by your power? Is it by another person’s power? By His power.
50. “He has established the world by his wisdom and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.” By His what discretion.
51. He by himself stretched it out. Who was there to help him? When He was doing that, did He tell you to come and help Him? That is why He asked Jeremiah; when I laid the foundation of the earth, were you there?
52. Where were you when I laid the foundation of the world? But there is somebody that holds the statistics of hairs on your head. Can’t that person be reverenced?
53. Psalms 66:7: “He ruleth by his power forever. His eyes behold the nations. Let not the rebellious exalt themselves.” KJV
54. So if you are rebelling against this man; am not using God, rebelling against this man. If you are rebelling against Him, know that He is an all-seeing eye watching you, watching me.
55. He is an all-seeing eye. No matter your rebellion, where ever you are doing the rebellion, He is seeing you. He knows the entire course you are pursuing. He is an all-seeing eye watching you.
56. “Because of his great power, he rules forever. He watches every movement of nations, oh rebel lands, he will deflate your pride.”
57. He will deflate your pride. There is an all seeing eye that is watching all of us, in all the things we do. All the things we are doing there is an all-seeing eye; watching us, watching you, watching me.
58. This all-seeing eye that can be in Onitsha and watch everywhere in the world at the same time. Is He not worthy to be reverenced? With Almighty God, with Him on our side, all things are possible.
59. Even when people are accusing us; provided we are doing those things that pleases Him, what will happen? What will He say? Satan leave this guy; this guy is free. You see all these your accusations, yes, I believe he did all of them, but I reject your accusation.
60. You can imagine when you are holding facts to go and finish a child of God, you bring all those facts on the table, the person supervising the whole thing, the chief judge after going through all those facts will tell you to go and throw them away, that it is inconsequential.
61. That as far as this young man is concerned, he is not guilty.
Saying that in fact, your case has no locus standing. So you can imagine how that barrister will look like. When he has gathered all the facts to win his case.
62. The chief Judge will now say, young man, it is true that these facts are here, we have seen all of them, we watched them but we are sorry, we cannot take any of them.
63. This young man is innocent, he is free, he is discharged and acquitted. Can you be that kind of a person that God will say this kind of thing on? That is the question.
64. No matter the accusation, God will say, young man, yes, we believe all these things you gathered, we have seen them, we watched them, it is true but you see this man, he is free. You are free to go.
65. The barrister will look confounded, flabbergasted and confused. He will just be watching, what is this chief judge saying. But God has said, young man go, you don’t have any problem. And that is that same man that we are having dealings with. The same man we are having dealings with today.
66. Christ the same yesterday, today and forever. Why can’t we obey His counsel? They gathered against Mary Magdalene, they caught her in the very act. And now you can imagine what they were looking for.
67. They were targeting her for her to be caught in the very act. They were targeting her. They set a trap for her and the trap now caught her. They set the man free and carried Mary Magdalene and brought her to Jesus.
68. Another way of tempting him. Did they believe Jesus counsel? If they believed Jesus counsel they would not run away, all of them. Yes, if Jesus Christ had told them in the beginning, set this woman free, she has no iniquity, they would not have done that.
69. Why did they now bring her to Jesus? They could have done what Moses law demanded, why bringing her to Jesus? They brought her to Jesus and said, master, master, see this woman; we caught her in the very act and according to the law of Moses she should be stoned to death.
70. When the man, her counterpart was not there. They wanted to tempt Jesus. It must take two to tangle. Only one person cannot commit adultery or fornication. And she was caught in the very act.
71. They brought only her to tempt Jesus. They knew what the law of Moses said concerning that. They knew what the Moses law said concerning that. That the person should be stoned to death. They should have stoned her to death there now.
72. They should have stoned all of them to death, they brought her to Jesus and said; according to the law of Moses, we should stone her to death, what do you say? He discerned their hearts one after the other.
73. He was in their hearts one after the other. He knew what they were thinking in their hearts. He said okay, if any of you here have not committed any sin, not fornication, if you have not committed any sin at all since you were born be the first to pick up a stone and cast upon her.
74. As He said it, he bent down and was writing something but as he rose his head up, he could not see any of them. He said, woman where are your detractors? They have all left, he said; go home and sin no more.
75. If he told her to go home and sin no more at the beginning do you think they would have believed? If when they brought her to him, Jesus Christ says to her, woman go home and sin no more, they would have rioted against Jesus Christ that day.
76. But he used their belief because the law said that whoever that is guilty of one is guilty of all. You see, you cannot tempt Almighty God. You cannot tempt Almighty God.
77. He did not ask them, whoever that have not committed adultery or fornication but he told them, whoever that have not sinned. So we have that same man who can declare us righteous in the presence of anybody.
78. Jesus said to her go and sin no more, seeing that she is a daughter of Abraham. That is why those people that accepted Jesus from the very beginning are still the same people accepting Him now.
79. Those people that didn’t believe him are still the people disbelieving him today. That is why salvation is by predestination. If you don’t believe it, I believe it. No matter what the children of Israel will do today, they are saved.
80. No matter what they are doing today, God Almighty will save them in the end because that is the promise. Seeing that Mary Magdalene is a daughter of Abraham, that settled the matter.
81. In the case of Zacchaeus, seeing that he is a son of Abraham, it settled the matter. What all the people were saying was immaterial. The Bible recorded that they were saying, if only he knew the type of person this man is, he will not find himself in his house.
82. Let us bring it down. You know all these tax force people in the town, that is the work of Zacchaeus. Is there any person that will like those task force in the town? There is no person that will come there and like any one of them. And all of them are seen as criminals because any money you give to them is like money thrown away.
83. If only he knew this man he wants to go to his house, they will be asking, ‘are you sure this is Almighty God? Are you sure’? Even among the disciples they were murmuring.
84. If only they knew that this man is Almighty God, they wouldn’t be saying those things they said. Zacchaeus come down, today salvation has come to your house, finish. When Zacchaeus was saying, I will return all those things I stole from them ten times fold, those things were immaterial.
85. He didn’t ask him for that. We have that same man in our midst. Who can declare us not guilty and we will remain not guilty because with him all things are possible.
86. He (Jesus Christ) told them, humanly speaking it is not possible but with God all things are possible. So if we are to find ourselves in that kingdom of heaven, we should know that it is by grace and grace alone. It is not by our works. It is not by being righteous or being holy, no.
87. In the days of Rehab, do you think any of the so-called righteous people will go close to that house? But where was salvation in that generation? If you must get saved in that generation, you must be inside that house.
88. The only people that are found inside that place are people that are used to that business. A righteous man can never find his feet inside that place. But on that day, the whole buildings around collapsed.
89. The whole walls collapsed. The whole walls in Jericho collapsed except that house. We still have that same man in our midst. Hebrews 13: 8, Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.
90. God the same yesterday, today and forever. He never changes. You can imagine Rehab coming to tell people, except you come into this house you will not be saved.
91. They will say: ‘it is like you are looking for customers’. And there were so many goodly houses in Jericho. There were so many goodly houses in Jericho.
92. Castles were there but on that very day all of them collapsed. Seeing that she is a daughter of Abraham. We still have that God in our midst. That God of Abraham that made that covenant with Abraham, that covenant that can never be annulled.
93. That covenant can never be annulled from generation to generation. We still have that God that made that covenant in our midst. The number of years that a contract has lasted, cannot make the contract of non-effect.
94. That is why Galatians 3 says that the law that came 430 years later cannot cancel that promise that was given before the law. And we have that person that made that promise in our midst.
95. The person that made that covenant 430 years ago and that was in the days of Paul. Paul was saying this in his own day. Please get me that place from the Bible.
96. Galatians 3: 17. The law that came many years after cannot annual that promise. And we have that promise keeper in our midst. That God that keeps his promise.
97. “And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of non-effect.”
98. Thank you sir. The law that came so many years after cannot disannul that it should make the promise of non-effect. It cannot make that promise of non-effect.
99. It cannot make that promise of non-effect and we have that person that made that covenant in our midst. It is still that same person, God Enmorphe.
100. “Here is what am trying to say, God promised to send through faith and God wrote this down and signed it”. LB
101. God did what? Wrote this promise down and signed it. The promise was sealed, signed and delivered.
102. “Could not be cancelled 430 years later when God gave the 10 commandments”. It cannot change that promise. Good News version; “What I mean is that God made a covenant with Abraham and promised to keep it.”
103. Who made that covenant? That same God is in our midst today.
104. “What I mean is that God made a covenant with Abraham and promised to keep it. The law which was given 430 years later cannot break that covenant and cancel God’s promise.”
105. It cannot break God’s covenant and cancel God’s promise. It cannot. You see why God said that salvation is by predestination. Is it not in our great sermon?
106. So if we actually know who we are and who is in our midst, we will be quiet and reverence this God with all our heart, knowing that he has the power to say and unsay.
107. He has the power to do and undo. When they gathered all their materials to condemn Mary Magdalene, they gathered all their evidence, we saw this woman, in fact we caught her in the very act, he told the woman to go home and sin no more.
108. He did not look at those their evidences. He was not looking at those exhibits. He did not look at those exhibits in front of him. When Satan came to accuse Joshua he did not look at those exhibits.
109. He brought many accusations in front of God against Joshua which Joshua did. Joshua did all those things but God said Satan, it is true he did all of them but I reject your accusations. We have that God in our midst.
110. By mere touching of his hands on your head he will make you Clean and you go inside. We have that man in our midst. Why can’t we reverence him, knowing that with this man all things are possible.
111. Even though you have been adjudged guilty and going to hell fire, he can come from the other direction and send you back. He said that he will not rest if he finds his own inside hell fire, he will jump inside hell fire and do what? Bring him out because he is not meant to be there.
112. My brethren I am saying that we have this counselor in our midst who cannot counsel us to do wrongly. All his words concerning us are words of good and not of evil.
NOW, I WANT TO SAY THAT THERE IS A MASTERPIECE IN EVERY DISPENSATION. IF WE ARE PREACHING DISPENSATIONAL MESSAGE, THAT IS, WE ARE TO RECOGNIZE OUR OWN DAY, OUR OWN VISITATION AND OUR OWN MESSAGE. IF WE DO NOT DO THAT, SURELY WHAT HAPPENED TO OTHERS WILL HAPPEN TO US. SO MANY PENTECOSTALS DO NOT KNOW THAT THEY ARE EVEN PREACHING THE MESSAGE OF MARTIN LUTHER—AN EXPIRED MESSAGE. I AM TELLING YOU GOD’S TRUTH.
THE SECRET OF RAPTURE VOL. 1 PREACHED 19TH DEC. 1999 PG 34:18
3
WE HAVE A COUNSELOR
To give us expected end. So why must we come and be saying, let me go and consult another person. When God has told you something to do, you want to go and consult another person. Somebody that is lower.
2. A student going to the fellow student on a particular topic when the master is there readily available to open his eyes. In other words, if that student is failing you are failing with him.
3. The almighty God that created the heaven and Earth has come down to dwell in our midst and he is dwelling in our midst and it is a rare privilege.
4. It is not our right. We are not greater than all those people out there. Those professors out there, that have thinking faculty but they cannot reason. God decided to close their eyes.
5. Where we read in Surah 14:4 said that God decides to open the eyes of some. And that he has not sent any prophet except in the language of the people he is sent to. He must be our kinsman Redeemer.
6. The Bible confirmed it. All these supernatural photographs confirmed, and you still don’t believe. You can never believe again. There is nothing you will ever believe again.
7. There is something you will be reading and reading but you cannot understand it. You ask yourself, why can’t I understand it? It because it is not meant for you, just leave it. Prof. P. N Okeke, when he was teaching us in our first year in University.
8. The man that wrote a physics textbook that is making waves in the country. When he was teaching us in our first year in University, he told us that there was this topic in radioactivity that they were taught those days in the university but he never understood it, that even up to today as a professor, he has not understood it.
9. We were looking at ourselves, even you that wrote the mighty textbook that is making waves. As a secondary school student, if you did not read ‘P. N Okeke’, you have not read physics at all.
10. But he was telling us that there was this topic in radioactivity in secondary school he didn’t understand it. Even when he entered the university, he never understood it. As a professor now he has never understood that topic.
11. He said if he explains something 1,2,3, times and you don’t understand, you should leave it, you are not meant to understand it. So if you cannot understand the Bible, you cannot understand Quran, you cannot understand these supernatural pictures, leave it.
12. It is not meant for you. If God has come down to dwell with us, to counsel us, to give us his word as yeah and amen, why can’t we believe his word? Why can’t we obey his word?
13. Why can’t we see that there is no other way of escape we have except in him. Do we have any other hiding place?
14. If you are not found in Him, remember we don’t have any righteousness of our own.
15. Only one man, only one man is going to rapture and as many as are found in that man. That is why he said, Moses will come, his messengers will line up behind him.
16. David will come, all his messengers will line up behind him, Noah will come, all his messengers will line up behind him. Jesus will also come; all his messengers will line up behind him.
17. The son of man will stand and all His messengers will surely line up behind him. The messengers of Jesus cannot come to the Son of Man’s place to stay.
18. He that was a disciple of Jesus Christ will not come to where disciples of Son of Man are and stand there. You will go to your own messenger.
19. You go to your own saviour and we have that Almighty one that has come to gather the whole loose ends together in our midst. Running last and coming first. Why can’t we have this good rapport with him so that he will say good things concerning us even when the enemy will come up with so many accusations; he can say, devil I reject all your accusations, I am not interested in any of them.
20. Why can’t we line up behind this man? That’s why I pity those people that say they are Jesus disciples. If they go that day to line up behind him.
21. Was he sent to ndi Igbo? He will tell them I don’t know you. He told them in the Bible, you will tell me I cast demons in your name, I did this and that in your name but he will tell them, depart from me you workers of iniquity.
22. I pity those of them that today say they are Jesus Christ disciples. You must acknowledge the message and messenger of your day. Jesus Christ will stand up and all his disciples will go behind him.
23. You cannot be in this age and go to stand behind Jesus Christ, na lie. And we have our man. The man in the middle of the seven candle sticks, gathering the whole loose ends.
24. So we have this man in our midst and we have to reverence him as our counselor. We don’t have any other person that will counsel us. We don’t have any other adviser.
25. Our only adviser is God. We have him in person. This one is not that you are praying for him to hear your prayer. This one is not that you are writing him letter and you are waiting for him to reply.
26. This one is, you can go to him face to face and he will not even pursue you away from his presence. We have the right to stand in his presence and tell him our plans and he will guide us rightly.
27. Why is it that after guiding us rightly, we go back to our old association? To do the things we already thought in our minds to do and not what He (God) has instructed us to do? That is the problem.
28. If we actually acknowledge that with this man all things are possible, we won’t have any problem. If we acknowledge that with him all things are possible we won’t have any problem but if we keep on acknowledging other mediums, other people that we can meet to give us better pieces of advice, why are we here? Is a question we have to answer ourselves.
29. We have acknowledged him to be our God and our adviser and our counselor and our everything. So if you don’t accede to his counsel, then that means you are not his own because for you to disobey your father blatantly it means you don’t acknowledge him to be your father.
30. Any real child of the father will always obey the father. He will always do what pleases the father so that anywhere the father is, he will remember him always, for good.
31. So in summary we have not followed cunningly devised fables. If we acknowledge this to be true, then we know that we have that good counselor that will always counsel us rightly.
32. We have that good adviser that will always advise us rightly. We have that maker, that creator of the whole heaven and Earth that covenant keeper that made a covenant with our forefather, Abraham. And he has remained faithful up till today.
33. The law that came several years after us cannot annul that promise. That promise still stands sure and we have that person that gave the promise in our midst. He is not changing.
34. He is just the same yesterday, today and forever. He has just been changing his mask but his characteristics remain the same because God has always been identified by his characteristics.
35. He has been that person changing forms but still the same person. Amen. If we acknowledge this to be true, then we don’t have any right to say, ‘I don’t believe this one’, we all will be implicit believers.
Remain blessed Brethren.
