MARRIAGE IS A MINISTRY
9. Brethren, remain blessed. Please, there should be real quietness in the Camp. Our problem is that each time the Word of God is preached, we find it difficult to personalize what we hear; we try to shift the Message to some people as if all is well with us.
10. And the people that are really guilty that need to be pitied—families whose conditions were x-rayed and diagnosed—they are the very people that normally shift these Messages to somebody else.True or false? 2008.
11. At the end of it all, you will go home with your problems unsolved.
12. To the youths, you don’t know where you are yet. But very soon, you will begin to recognize where you are. There must be a destination in life; life must take you somewhere and when you get there, you will know you have arrived there—whether you like it or not.

15. I have never for one day seen them nagging in my presence.
16. Have you ever seen them? No sir! Standing on the altar for wedding? Husbands and wives ranting and nagging, quarrelling?
17. During their wedding, you simply look at their faces; you see smiles, everybody jubiliating; witnesses jubiliating. But one, two, three, four years from there, you begin to look at the people you joined in wedlock with their faces beaming with smiles, you cannot imagine what their faces look like anymore.

19. CHECK YOUR MARRIAGE, CHECK YOUR WEDDING DAY. THE SMILES ON YOUR FACES AS COUPLES THAT HERALDED YOUR UNION AS HUSBAND AND WIFE. ARE THOSE SMILING FACES STILL THERE? I AM ASKING A PERTINENT QUESTION, A DIRECT QUESTION.
20. THERE IS NOBODY HERE WHO IS IGNORANT OF WHO HE IS. THE SMILES THAT WAS ON YOUR FACES THE DAY YOU WEDDED, YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND, WITH THE NUMEROUS PEOPLE YOU GATHERED, WHERE IS IT TODAY? WHO REMOVED IT? THAT SMILE, THAT LAUGHTER IS IT STILL THERE TODAY? WHERE DID IT GO? WHERE DID IT VANISH TO?
21. ANY DAY IT VANISHES, IF YOU CAN RECOGNISE THE DAY, THE WEEK, THE MONTH, THE YEAR; THAT WAS THE DAY THE MARRIAGE ENDED. THAT WAS THE END OF EVERYTHING CALLED MARRIAGE, WHATEVER THAT IS LEFT BEHIND IS JUST A UNION OF A MAN AND A WOMAN NOT HUSBAND AND WIFE. THEY MAY BE HAVING CHILDREN; MAD PEOPLE HAVE CHILDREN, HEATHENS HAVE CHILDREN.
22. I WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE PUBLICANS IN THE SIGHT OF GOD; AND THEIR CHILDREN FROM THAT DAY ARE PUBLICANS BECAUSE THEY HAVE ABANDONED THE PATHWAY OF TRUTH, THEY HAVE FOLLOWED THE EVIL WAY OF THE WICKED. SO, THEY WILL RAISE A FAMILY OF WICKEDNESS. AND FROM THAT DAY, WATCH! THE CENTRE CAN NO LONGER HOLD.
23. THAT IS WHY I HAVE TOLD YOU, IF YOU CAN GO BACK TO THE MESSAGE TITLED “MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE”. MARRIAGE TAKES PLACE IN THE HEART, DIVORCE TAKES PLACE IN THE HEART. THE SAME WAY LOVE IS NOT A MERE STATEMENT, LOVE IS THE MATTER OF THE HEART. HATE IS THE MATTER OF THE HEART. THE MOMENT LOVE VANISHES, HATE TAKES OVER. WHEN SMILES VANISHES, SADNESS TAKES OVER.
24. WHATEVER THAT HAS ERODED THE JOY OF THE MARRIAGE CAN NEVER BE GOD, WHATEVER THAT HAS ERODED THE LOVE CAN NEVER BE GOD. IT IS A SIGN THAT THE COUPLES HAVE ABANDONED THE FAITH OF CHRIST AND THE MOMENT WHERE YOU ABANDONED THE FAITH, WAS WHERE GOD ABANDONED YOU.
25. YOU ARE JUST ROLLING ON, MANAGING. FROM THAT TIME MARRIAGE BECOMES A MANAGEMENT. THE FLOWER IS NO LONGER THERE, IT IS COMPLETELY DRIED UP.
26. GOD SAID IN THE MESSAGE “MARRIAGE THE OLDEST INSTITUTION ORDAINED OF GOD”. THE CLOUD IS HERE! FROM THE BEGINNING OF THIS DAYS WORSHIP, THE ALMIGHTY WAS HERE BEFORE THE FIRST PERSON CAME IN. HE WATCHED THE WAY WE CAME IN. HE WATCHED THE SPIRIT THAT FOLLOWED US INTO THIS PLACE.
27. THE MESSAGE SAID MARRIAGE DOES NOT GROW OLD. MARRIAGE FROM GOD, MARRIAGE ORDAINED BY GOD, MARRIAGE THAT IS UNITED BY THE WORD CAN NEVER GROW OLD. THE SAME WAY LOVE DOESN’T GROW OLD, THE WORD OF GOD DOES NOT GROW OLD. THAT MARRIAGE IS ALIVE AND ACTIVE, FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION, THE OLDER THE MARRIAGE THE STRONGER THE LOVE.
28. GO BACK TO THAT MESSAGE! GOD SAID IF YOUR UNION WITH YOUR WIFE DOESN’T GET TO THAT POINT THAT GOES TO SHOW THAT IT IS A MERE HUMAN ASSOCIATION. WHAT IS HUMAN ASSOCIATION? ONE IS BOUND TO FIND FAULT WITH ANOTHER BECAUSE LOVE IS NOT THE CONSIDERATION, CHRIST IS NOT THE CONSIDERATION.
29. IF LOVE WAS THE DECIDER, LOVE DOESN’T HATE. IF YOU GO TO FIRST CORINTHIANS, CHAPTER THIRTEEN, YOU LOOK AT THE QUALITIES OF LOVE.
30. LOOK INTO YOUR MARRIAGE, YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THESE QUALITIES ARE COMPLETELY ABSENT. YOU CAN’T HAVE A FIGMENT OF ANY OF THEM THERE.
31. WHAT DOES IT TELL THE WHOLE WORLD? AN ELOQUENT WITNESS THAT IF THERE WAS ANY THING CALLED MARRIAGE THAT SUBSISTED BEFORE, IT HAS COMPLETELY EXPIRED, WAXED OLD AND DISCARDED.
32. EVEN, I DON’T EVEN SEE THE UNION THAT IS STILL ROLLING ON AS FRIENDS, FOR THERE IS NOTHING FRIENDLINESS THERE. EVERYTHING THERE SPEAKS ENMITY, APATHY, HATE, FULL OF MISGIVINGS. YOU CAN HARDLY SEE PERFECT UNDERSTANDING AGAIN, CONFUSION TAKES OVER BECAUSE THE DEVIL IS NOW PERFECTLY IN CONTROL.
33. HOW DO YOU KNOW IT IS THE DEVIL? THE HUSBAND AND WIFE ARE NOW AT DAGGERS END, THE DEVIL GENERATING REASONS WHY IT SHOULD BE SO. THE DEVIL SUPPLYING EVERYTHING THAT WILL MAKE THEM TO TEAR APART PUBLICLY. NO FUSION OF THE SPIRIT ANYMORE.
34. SO YOU MUST KNOW WHETHER YOUR MARRIAGE IS SUBSISTING OR EXISTING. IN OUR EYES WHAT WE THINK IS SUBSISTENT MARRIAGE IS EXISTENT MARRIAGE BECAUSE THEY ARE LIVING UNDER ONE ROOF, HAVING CHILDREN WHO CALL THEM PARENTS.
35. THAT’S THE REASON WHY WE GIVE THEM A LITTLE RESPECT AS HUSBAND AND WIFE BUT BY THE TRUE MEANING OF HUSBAND AND WIFE, THEY ARE NOT. IF THERE WAS ANY TIME THEY WERE, SUCH A THING, IT WAS LONG, LONG TIME AGO.
36. AND WHEN YOU WATCH IN SUCH CONDITIONS AS THEY JOURNEY FURTHER, THE TROUBLES INCREASE, THE HATE, THE HOSTILITY, THE REJECTION WILL KEEP ON INCREASING; WHICH IT WILL TAKE ALMIGHTY GOD TO WITHHOLD THE HAND OF ONE. OTHERWISE, MURDER CAN BE THE CONCLUSION.
37. YES! MURDER COMES IN DIFFERENT FORMS. YOU CAN MURDER A MAN WITH THE WORD OF YOUR MOUTH, YOU CAN MURDER A WOMAN WITH THE WORD OF YOUR MOUTH, YOU CAN MURDER EVEN WITH THE DENIAL OF THE NECESSITIES OF LIFE, YOU CAN MURDER WITH POISON, YOU CAN MURDER BY MOUNTING UNDUE PRESSURE ON EACH OTHER, YOU CAN MURDER BY NEGLECT, WILFUL NEGLECT WHICH IS DIRECT PUNISHMENT.
38. TO EITHER PARTY, WHY ARE THESE THINGS THERE? MARRIAGE IS NO LONGER THERE. IF WE DO NOT HIGHLIGHT THE TRUTH OUR CHILDREN THAT ARE COMING UP WILL NOT BE PUT IN THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE ABOUT THIS HYDRA-HEADED GOOD THING GOD MADE, BUT THE DEVIL IS CALLING IT EVIL.

TORCH LIGHT IN THE DARK PLACES OF YOUR HOMES
MARRIAGE IS GOOD, ORDAINED OF GOD, NOT FOR EVERYBODY BUT FOR THOSE THAT WISH TO MARRY. BUT THERE ARE SOME THAT WISH NOT TO MARRY FOR CHRIST’S SAKE, TO THEM IT IS NONSENSE.
2. THERE ARE SOME WHO ARE MADE EUNUCH’S BY MEN, THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO MARRY FOR THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE. IT IS NOT SIN. BUT TO THOSE WHO ARE HEALTHY AND THEY HAVE THE DESIRE TO MARRY, THEY SHOULD GO AHEAD MARRY AND LIVE PEACEFULLY AS GOD ORDAINED. ANYTHING CONTRARY TO IT IS UNACCEPTABLE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD, IT IS DEVILISH.
3. Often times God, the Son of Man, Christ revealed in our day, I mean the very Deity for which cause all of you are here, vindicated and confirmed in all ramifications keeps saying to us, I mean the voice of the age.
4. Often times you gather here on invitation, husband and wife will present themselves with smiling faces, deceiving themselves; giving the impression that they are in love that they are in the faith of Christ. Look at what God said, one, two, three, four years, the smiling faces vanishes, the professed love vanishes, friendliness vanishes. Brethren is it true? Yes sir! Is it true? Yes sir!
5. Then who shall be saved in the end? Who then shall be saved in the end? You see why Peter scrutinized everything and said “Master, if the case of a man is like this, it could have been better that he never taught of marrying a wife”. And Saint Paul said to the women “Knowing that it would be very, very cumbersome to you, encumbrance you cannot bear, For by nature women do not want to be enslaved”. Saint Paul said, for that reason I wish you be as I am.

I MEAN, THEIR TROUBLE STARTED THE SAME YEAR OF THEIR MARRIAGE. SOME STARTED THE DAY THEY CAME TOGETHER, SOME STARTED IN THE DAY OF THEIR TRADITIONAL AND CUSTOMARY MARRIAGE. TRUE OR FALSE? TRUE SIR!
9. WE BETTER FACE THIS TRUTH NOW BECAUSE ANY MOMENT FROM NOW WE WILL HEAR THE SOUND WE WILL NO LONGER LIKE. WE HAVE DANCED ENOUGH. THERE IS A MUSIC WE ARE GOING TO DANCE AND THAT MUSIC, I WONDER WHETHER WE CAN HAVE THE COURAGE TO HIT OUR LEGS ON THE GROUND.
10. A LOT OF SO-CALLED MARRIAGES NEVER EXCEEDED ONE YEAR. SOME VANISHED BEFORE THEY HAD THEIR FIRST CHILD, SOME VANISHED AFTER THEIR FIRST CHILD. THERE IS NO MARRIED MAN OR WOMAN HERE THAT CANNOT BEAR WITNESS TO THIS TRUTH. YOU KNOW WHEN THE WINE FINISHED, YOU KNOW THE YEAR, YOU KNOW THE MONTH THE WINE DRIED UP AND THEN IT STARTED MAKING NOISE.
11. AND FROM THAT DAY IT STARTED MAKING NOISE TILL TODAY, HAS IT STOPPED MAKING NOISE? EVERY ADDITIONAL CHILD INCREASES THE NOISE.
12. AS IF YOU NEVER KNEW CHILDREN WILL COME OR YOU WANT US TO BELIEVE THAT THE ADDITIONAL CHILDREN ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROBLEM THAT STARTED FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. DO WE BELIEVE THAT? GOD FORBID!
13. BUT TO GODLY UNIONS EVERY ADDITIONAL CHILD INCREASES THE JOY, THE LOVE, THE UNDERSTANDING, THE TOLERANCE. WHETHER THERE IS FOOD OR NOT, MONEY OR NOT. AT LEAST YOU SEE THE MAN RUSHING TO THE HOSPITAL AND EMBRACING THE WIFE, EMBRACING THE BABY, GOING AND BORROWING TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF THE HOSPITAL TO BRING THE FAMILY HOME AND HE INVITES FRIENDS, EVEN WHEN HE IS EMPTY HANDED TO COME AND REJOICE.
14. BUT TO THOSE FAMILIES, EVEN PREGNANCY DOESN’T GIVE THEM JOY. THE ARRIVAL OF A NEW CHILD BRINGS QUARRELLING. IT IS NEVER GREETED WITH JOY OR INVITATION OF FRIENDS. IT IS A PUNISHMENT INFLICTED ON THEM BY THEMSELVES. WHY? TO THEM IT HAS BECOME A BIG BURDEN.
15. MARRIAGE THAT IS ORDAINED OF GOD IS NEVER A BURDEN BUT A BLESSING. IS IT NOT SCRIPTURAL? HE THAT FINDS A WIFE FINDS A GOOD THING AND RECEIVES BLESSINGS FROM GOD. AND A VIRTUOUS WIFE IS DIFFICULT TO BE FOUND, WHO CAN FIND IT BUT GOD.
16. We better be calm today. One, two, three, four years the joy that greeted the marriage vanished, the house (the family) becomes another hell on earth. The darling husband becomes that man, darling wife becomes that woman, a Jezebel while the man becomes the Ahab. For it takes an Ahab to marry a Jezebel.
17. My question is, what drains away that glorious, wonderful, hilarious, joyful face? What drained all of them away? What drained away the so-called love, the understanding, the tolerance, the patience? What drained them away?
18. I AM NOT HERE TO ASK “A” OR “B” BUT THE TRUTH IS: CHECK IT VERY WELL, THEY ABANDONED CHRIST AND CHRIST ABANDONED THEM. FOR GOD IS WITH YOU WHILE YOU ARE WITH HIM. WHEN YOU ABANDON HIM HE WILL ABANDON YOU. THEY STARTED WITH CHRIST, PROFESSING HIM WITH THE LIPS WHEN THEIR HEARTS WERE TOO FAR AWAY FROM THE REALITY.
19. THEY HAD ANOTHER THING IN MIND THAT BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER AS HUSBAND AND WIFE, NOT REAL LOVE OF MARRIAGE, NOT REAL LOVE OF GOD. FOR IF IT IS REAL LOVE OF GOD NOTHING TAMPERS WITH IT. EVEN IF YOU WANT TO WRITE THE LOVE OF GOD IN A PEN, NO PEN CAN FINISH IT, NO SCROLL CAN CONTAIN IT. IF IT IS A PARCHMENT, THE WHOLE WORLD CANNOT CONTAIN IT.
20. THEN, MARRIAGE THAT IS ESTABLISHED ON SUCH A FOUNDATION, L-O-V-E. LOOK AT IT THERE, (THE STATURE OF THE PERFECT MAN) WHICH IS PERFECT LOVE. I MEAN, MARRIAGE THAT IS ESTABLISHED HERE (ONE LOVE), TELL ME WHAT WILL HAPPEN HERE?
21. EVEN IF IT WANTS TO COME DOWN, IT WILL REST ON THE HOLY SPIRIT. IF IT FALLS AWAY FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT WE WILL SEE BROTHERLY KINDNESS, IF IT FALLS FROM THERE WE WILL SEE GODLINESS. IT IS STILL THERE, FROM THERE WE WILL SEE PATIENCE.
22. I MEAN, LET US SEE THAT LOVE IS NO LONGER THERE. CAN WE SEE HOLY SPIRIT? IS IT THERE? NO. BROTHERLY KINDNESS? NO. GODLINESS? NO. PATIENCE? NO. TEMPERANCE? NO. KNOWLEDGE? NO. VIRTUE? NO. FAITH? NO. CAN YOU TELL ME THAT GOD WAS THERE FROM THE BEGINNING? NO SIR! WE BETTER FACE FACTS.
23. I AM HERE FOR PRACTICAL REALITY OF THE BRIDAL FAITH, FOR TOO MANY EVILS ARE BEING COMMITTED UNDER THE GUISE OF THE MINISTRY OF THE BRIDE AS IF WE ARE HERE FOR CEMENTING EVIL OR TEACHING EVIL. WE TEACH THE TRUTH AS IT IS REVEALED TO US IN LOVE BUT PEOPLE ACT THE WAY THEY ARE ORDAINED TO ACT.
24. Those smiles will vanish; apathy will set in strong hatred for one another, intolerance, hostility, both parties becoming hostile to each other. You come and see hot disputing. Wild disagreements. Reckless and unguided statements.
25. Reckless and what? Unguided statements, hurtful statements flying out of their mouths, caustic remarks on each other without restraint.
26. Reckless and unguided statements exchanged between them, provocative utterances all unchecked. You begin to wonder: “What is really wrong? Could it be that a girl and a boy came to the altar to declare themselves husband and wife?” Furthermore, I have looked into it seriously; I am not blaming God but blaming those people that are involved.
27. Hear me very well; whatever ruins your ministry in the Faith of the Son of Man must ruin your ministry as a husband or as a wife.
28. How many know by revelation that marital life is a ministry? How many see marriage—either man or woman—as a ministry that must be fulfilled with joy? If it is not a ministry, you don’t mention anything “shipwreck” around it. Because marriage is a ministry, somebody is “bound to make a shipwreck” of his marital ministry—man or woman. Some are likely to make full proof of their ministries.
29. Saint Paul was encouraging Timothy to strive to make full proof of his ministry. The same way, if you see your marital relationship with your wife as a “ministry” and your wife sees it as her ministry, both of you will strive earnestly to do everything within your power to make full proof of your ministries, making sure that nobody will look down on you.
30. Nothing damages the reputation of a man more than shipwreck in his marital ministry. It is also applicable to a woman. How many by revelation, see marriage as “a calling” in Christ? If your marriage with your wife is not by election, it is by condition.
31. Whose elect are you? If your marriage is not by election, election is by God’s fore-knowledge, by predestination, preordained. It is a conditional marriage.
32. “Conditional marriages” do not last. Conditional marriages do not last. They are human associations that are likely to break up any time. What? They are human associations that are likely to break up any time.
33. And anything can cause the break up, human associations expire with time. Are you hearing what I am saying? Yes sir! Wrapper fades more especially the one that doesn’t have quality. Why is it that women prefer to buy Intorica (George)? The older the Intorica, the brighter the outlook, True or False?
34. Why do we paint our vehicles, using high quality paints like Auto base? It is because the more you keep on washing it, the brighter, the older the paint the brighter, the more beautiful. Am I typing it well?
35. But when you buy your Ankara, cheap article where they ring bell, “ten, ten naira, eyes this way”. When you buy your Ankara like the name sounds, put it inside water, wash it two times, it is gone, it fades away.
36. HOW CAN WE RECEIVE A KINGDOM THAT FADEDTH NOT AWAY AND THEN GOD WILL ENTRUST US WITH MARRIAGES THAT WILL FADE AWAY? WHO THEN WILL FORM THE KINGDOM? THE KINGDOM MUST BE FORMED BY HUMAN BEINGS THAT WILL NEVER FADE AWAY.
37. OUR UNION WITH CHRIST CAN NEVER FADE AWAY AND THEN OUR UNION WITH CHRIST IS LIKENED TO OUR UNION WITH OUR WIVES IF THEY ARE REALLY WIVES GIVEN TO US, APPROVED BY GOD.
38. AM I MAKING SENSE? YES SIR. IF YOU CANNOT DISCOVER YOUR WAY, WELL YOU WILL REMAIN BLIND TILL ETERNITY. WHEN TRUTH GOES OUT, IT OPENS THE EYE OF SOME, IT BLINDS SOME.
39. I am throwing a touch light, in the dark places of your homes, that you may see that you are the architect of your own woes. You should blame yourselves and not God, for God cannot make a mistake but you can make a mistake.
40. BUT IS MARRIAGE A MISTAKE? NEVER! A MAN MARRIES HIS CHARACTER. IF YOU THINK YOU COULD HAVE MARRIED A BETTER ONE, YOU ARE A LIAR. WHAT “A” SAW AND RAN AWAY, IF “B” HAS THE QUALITY OF A AND COMES INTO CONTACT WITH IT, B WILL ALSO RUN AWAY. I AM SAYING IT MUST BE BIRDS OF THE SAME FEATHER FLOCKING TOGETHER.
41. IF YOU SAY IT IS A MISTAKE, HOW MANY YEARS HAS THE MISTAKE LASTED? WHEN DID YOU NOTICE THE MISTAKE? IN THE BEGINNING OR AT THE MIDDLE OR NOW THAT THE WHOLE THING HAS EXPIRED? WHEN DID YOU NOTICE THE MISTAKE?

You are my witnesses, I have always highlighted marriage and many, many things that happened in our marital relationship. BUT IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THOSE THAT ARE INVOLVED WHOSE HOUSES ARE ON FIRE, WHO SHOULD LISTEN ATTENTIVELY AND GET ENOUGH INFORMATION TO SEE WHETHER THEY CAN PUT THEIR HOMES RIGHT, THEY ARE THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE A HELL OF NOISE, TRANSFERRING THE MESSAGES TO PEOPLE, CLAIMING THAT ALL IS WELL WHEN ALL IS NOT WELL.

Have a second look and even a third look. “Sister are you sure this is the man. Look into his eyes, look into his mouth, she will smile. Brother what about you? If she is the one, offer her a kiss in our presence”.

53. GREATER ARE THOSE WHO ARE HERE WAITING FOR THE DAY THEY WILL DIE SO THAT THEIR FUNERAL CEREMONIES WILL BE GREETED WITH THE WHOLE NIGERIA, BRETHREN CARRYING THEIR CASKET AND THEY DON’T KNOW THAT THE DEAD DOESN’T KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING BEHIND.
54. “NNAA THE DAY I WILL BE BURIED, EVERYWHERE WILL BE FILLED WITH PEOPLE. UNDERTAKERS WILL BE EVERYWHERE CARRYING THE COFFIN ABOUT. THE SON OF MAN WILL TAKE THE LEAD’’. ARE YOU THERE WITNESSING IT?

The husband sited her from afar and approached her; told her that she didn’t get the information well; that the information was for widows not for those their husbands were still alive. “Come out, come out’’.
60. The woman looked at the man from head to toe and said, “Don’t touch me, looking at you, are you alive? Leave me alone let me collect food for my children; are you alive? School fees, you will not pay, food you will not bring, house rent, you will not pay and other bills in the yard you will not pay.
61. What shows you are alive? Leave and let me collect what my children will eat. I hope my announcement is clear! No woman should morn her husband alive and no man should morn his wife alive. Amen!
