PREACHED ON SUNDAY 23RD OCTOBER, 2016 @ HOUSEHOLD OF GOD ONITSHA BY APOSTLE PETER ODOEMENA THE SON OF MAN THE SUPREME INTELLIGENCE

You are what you think you are, if you can adjust your mindset, for everything you want to achieve depends on the angle you tune your mindset. If you tune your mindset to evil, you will achieve evil. If you tune your mindset to anything good, you will achieve good things.

COMMITMENT Preached 14th February, 2010 pg 29 vs 36

EFFECT A CHANGE

If you are from a family that does not do well, you can change it. One man in the hands of God can change the entire nation, redirect the attention of the family and redirect the

attention of the society.

2.          Go to the Message COMMITMENT. Few individuals bound themselves together for a common purpose and they made Nigeria a kidnapping nation overnight, when they are in the minority. Less than one over one hundred of the population of Nigeria.

3.          The same way our president single-handedly, with few individuals supporting him, is trying to rebrand Nigeria. Yes! From a corrupt nation to a corruption-free nation; from a violent nation to a peaceful nation, for he realized the implications of continuing where others stopped.

4.          How can we attract foreign investments in a chaotic political condition where there is no political stability, with insecurity of lives and violence everywhere? No foreign investor will ever show interest. That is what he is doing to rebrand us.

5.          But I am fighting against those that are working towards rebranding the Faith of Christ, giving it another meaning.

6.          It is not a charitable organization. We are not running a religious movement. We are not running a social club.

7.          If I do not speak, we will come to a point where we will be drawing up constitution, membership list, membership rights and privileges.

8.          Your only rights and membership and everything here ends in your salvation. You better understand this fact and then come out fully.

9.          Whatever God hates must be hated if we must succeed. All these young young ladies. I told you that all these young young widows we have, they are the type that can put a community into trouble. They are still young. Only that their husbands died. So you are not widows.

10.     We have empowered you so that you can empower your family very well, for we did something we have never done before.

11.     And I do not want to create a precedence I cannot sustain by saying, “If somebody dies we will give you so, so and so amount”. Never, never! God forbid! I say God forbid! Anyone that dies should be buried. Simeon Omeigbo has died. He should be buried. His wife was struggling.

12.     It is because he was about to die. That was why he wrote us a letter that we should bring him in. So that if he dies, we will bury him. For two weeks now, he is dead.

13.     Assuming we allowed him in, we are liable to go there and bury him. Somebody that has not attended Fellowship for fifteen years.

14.     How can he be at home and claim membership? Has it ever been done? It is important that we should know this truth. Brother read that message again!

15.     WHO IS YOUR ICON OR WHO IS YOUR STAR? WHO ARE YOU PATTERNING AFTER?

16.     Who is your icon? Who do you want to be like? Do you want to be like Unoka of THINGS FALL APART, who specializes in blowing flutes to entertain children, both male and female?

17.     I remember how I fought that spirit in my early or late forties. That was when I clocked precisely forty-seven years. The church at Onitsha, as it was called that time wanted to give Me a gift to mark my birthday.

18.     While I was there, they sent Unoka, a lazy man like them, who was the Pastor that time. He came out with a suggestion and all of them bought the idea.

19.     They purchased one sofa “Easy chair” for me. I was wandering when they were coming up joyfully, jubiliating that they are bringing a big gift to Daddy.

20.     I was watching it. I said, “Gentlemen is it well at all?” They answered, “Yes Daddy. We brought this chair for you so that you can use it anytime you want to rest.”

21.      I retorted quickly, “You are all mad! you are foolish! Do you think I am a lazy man like you? How can I enter My house and then sleep at the age of forty-seven? Don’t you know that if you go to bed early enough, you must wake up before daybreak?

22.     No wonder you are all unproductive. Look at what you are wishing me. I am sending it “back to sender”. You people should take it and sit on it (easy chair).

23.     Whatever thing that is following anybody that sits on this chair should follow you all. May you all be old while you are young.” Before you know it I threw it away.

24.     If you watch many of them that are of that old order, who crossed over from end time, this is exactly their nature. Going to bed before the right time, thinking that the day will break in the next one hour.

25.     The night is far spent. The earlier you come out the better. How can you go to bed in the daytime? Wake up! Your children are still very tender.

26.     You want to leave the whole load for your wife. If she dies today, tomorrow you will marry another.

27.     SOME ARE EVEN AIMING AT KILLING THEIR WIVES, BUT THEY WILL NOT SAY IT WITH THEIR MOUTHS. YES! THERE ARE MANY WAYS YOU CAN KILL YOUR WIFE.

28.     WHEN YOU OVER BURDEN A WOMAN BEYOND HER CAPACITY, YOU SUBJECT HER TO TOO MUCH THINKING AND TOO MUCH WORRY, PLUS HER DOMESTIC ACTIVITIES.

29.     MORESO, WHEN YOU ARE NOT APPRECIATIVE. INSTEAD OF APPRECIATING, YOU ARE THREATENING.

30.     Before one year, you will come to Daddy and say, “There is somebody I saw who I want to marry.” You specialize in looking for women that have money whom you will marry.

31.     John Ekwueme! Remove your eye glasses for you to understand what we are saying. You are not a child. You are not an adult. Nobody knows where to classify you.

32.     It is better you are a child so that you will be treated as a child. Amen!  Brother read that Message!

33.     WHO IS YOUR ICON OR WHO IS YOUR STAR? WHO ARE YOU PATTERNING AFTER?

34.     Who is your icon? Who do you want to be like? Who do you always pray to be like? I want to be like this person. I have stood up many Brothers here. I do not want to mention Sisters more than the person that is standing.

35.      Look at this Brother here. Who does not know Brother Chukwudi from Nsukka. Don’t you know him? Good! Can’t you talk about him? A self-made Brother.

36.     I met him at Nsukka. He was struggling to gain admission. He single-handedly started book binding where he was working. The little money he got from there, he used it and gained admission into the university where he studied Library Science and came out with a Second Class Upper Division.

37.     With the work he was doing, he trained himself in the university. At the end of everything, he got appointment by God’s grace. Before you know it, he has finished his Masters.

38.     Right now, as I am talking to you, he is pursuing his PH.D. But somebody that is visionless, will only promise to marry every woman he sees. He will promise to marry up to twenty women while he is doing nothing.

39.     Are you bringing trouble to your mother or to your farther, or to the Bridal Faith? “Man, lets go and tell Daddy. Something must be done about it.”  Let Me see the person that will come to me again.

40.     I am waiting for you all. Come again and tell Me. If you like, go from house to house, I must hear it.

41.     A shameful thing is shameful. Please, we should tell ourselves the truth. How can somebody be in a permanent condition for ten years, fifteen years or even twenty years and not changing.

42.     What is really happening? That person’s life, is it not useless? Why not use Myself as example?

43.      Were you not here when I defied everything [the shame and the ridicule] and became an apprentice, and allowed the infants to train Me.

44.      Children were using Me to browse instead of encouraging Me. You were using me to sing, making mockery of me and using all sorts of dancing steps, all to mock me. Even spoke to My hearing.

45.     “Let him come and see what we have been seeing. It is not only to talk.” I have come out and I have seen what you have seen, and you people are still marking time at a place, and I have passed you.

46.     Look at these small small boys you people are frustrating. How many years of apprenticeship changed their records?

47.     What is the essence of ministering to the Brethren when you are not living a shining example? He who heals whitlow will first of all show his hand.

48.     This is why too many are not making honest effort anymore. My duty is to teach you how to fish so that you will take care of yourself and not to dash you fish.

49.     I am teaching you how to fish and how, through hard work, you can change your world. You change your world. And I can change My world. But when you want to leave your own the same way it is, do not frustrate others.

50.      There are some people that resist changes. Nothing is as painful as change, especially when you are commanded to change at a very old age.

51.     You may think you are being insulted. Why not accept it as insult and make a change? Tomorrow will be brighter.

52.     All of you heard My Voice at Nsugbe yesterday. I appraised everything, even your homes. All these women that lost their husbands that are parading themselves. You were all encouraged to look for something good to do.

53.      LET ME TELL YOU. IT IS THE GREATEST ABOMINATION FOR A MAN TO MARRY A BAD WIFE. MARRY A BAD WIFE, AND FRUSTRATE YOUR FUTURE.

54.      AN UNPRODUCTIVE WIFE FRUSTRATES A MAN, AND ALSO FRUSTRATES A MAN’S AMBITION. IF YOU ARE ANNOYED, DO SOMETHING! IF YOU ARE ANNOYED, DO SOMETHING! IT IS VERY IMPORTANT.

55.     I use one example, look at victor Ugwu’s wife. Did anyone give her ten kobo? When her husband was alive, she was the one motivating her husband. Even the business centre we are talking of, she was the one instrumental to all, to the extent that her husband’s people noted about her contributions in their family. If any good thing happens around there, they will attribute it to her, saying that Victor Ugwu married a good wife.

56.     Bro. Chizoba, am I bearing false witness? (He answered, no sir!). It is good to give her, her flowers while she is alive! But somebody who is a Minister in this Faith is talking to her in a way as to frustrate her.

57.     Somebody that calls himself a Minister and a Pastor. Have you performed what she is performing, taking care of the family, and training her children in a good school? Besides, any moment from now, she will be a graduate of Anambra state university.

58.     Right now, she is rounding up her programme there, elevating herself. Those that are joking will continue to joke.

59.     Those that insult themselves will continue with the insults. Mockers will continue to mock.

60.      If your condition is not challenging to you, do not worry, your children will kill you one day.

61.     You think that children do not reason? When you deny them their basic privileges, they will be uncomfortable with you, they will not be happy with you, especially when they are willing to go and you are not having that thing to support them.

62.     LISTEN TO ME. IF A WOMAN IS STRUGGLING AND THE HUSBAND IS NOT STRUGGLING, IT BRINGS ABOUT WEAKNESS.

63.     It is said that if the right hand brings, and left hand brings, it will form a good base. You cannot form a base with one hand. It cannot be done; to form a base with one hand.

64.     NO MAN HAS EVER DONE IT ALONE WITHOUT THE WIFE. AND NO WOMAN HAS EVER DONE IT ALONE WITHOUT THE HUSBAND. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY, HAVE ENCOURAGING WORDS.

65.     IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY, HAVE ENCOURAGING WORDS. AMEN!

66.     Change your world. Change your environment. Change where you are living.

67.     You are not nailed where you are living. The more you are getting old there, the more your properties are getting old.

68.     It will get to a point where there will be no curtains in your house.

69.     The glasses will all fall. Everything will be dilapidated. You live with rats, lizards, cockroaches etc. What caused it? You do not have the money to change your world.

70.     Shameless people! It is good [if you live in a house for a while, not minding that it is not your own, but you are living in it, it is equally your own] after a while you repaint it, beautify the house, I was doing it when I was a tenant, you are my witnesses.

71.     From time to time, I will repaint everywhere and arrange everywhere. I am the one living there, will I wait for Igwe to come and do it for me? Igwe will change My bed, change My bedsheet and change My pillow case. Everything will be dirty until you will be called Mr. Dirty. Amen!

72.     You may be asking if it is still education appreciation. Education means nothing but what we are hearing. I am educating you. I am informing you. I am enlightening you. This Faith is aimed at educating, informing and enlightening. Is it a lie? Amen.

Every man   must know his mission on Earth. Your mission on Earth is nothing but what you have committed yourself to achieve.

If your   mission   on   Earth   is to cause trouble, until you cause trouble, you will not have rest. If your mission on Earth is to bring about peace, until peace reigns, you will not stop.  What is your mission on Earth? Why did you appear here on Earth? Why did your mother conceive you?  Nobody Is born great. There is nobody with greatness written on his face. Greatness is conferred on people as a result of what they have achieved in life.

COMMITMENT Preached 14th February, 2010 pg 33 vs 46-49

DO NOT DECLARE YOURSELF REDUNDANT AND INACTIVE.

WHO IS YOUR ICON?Who is your Icon. Who are patterning after. It is just like John Ekwueme that wants to marry and he came with James Nnaemeka.

2.          I inquired if the Pastors knows about it, and he said, “No!” Myself, Pastor Thomas and others that were around looked at each other. I enquired, “Which other people did you inform?” He said, “No other person, but James Nnaemeka.”

3.          I then said, “Ok. You will marry James Nnaemeka’s first daughter.” He was not serious with the marriage. He was only playing pranks. Is that how to marry? You want to do because others have done it. Look at the buttocks of someone that wants to marry.

4.          Women have suffered in this life. Let Me tell you. If I were a woman, it will be difficult for Me to marry.

5.          What it took Me to find the wife I married would have been what it will take Me to accept to marry any man because the kind of questions I will ask you will discourage you from coming again.

6.           I will ask you all sorts of questions. I will ask what brought you here. Where are you living? Where do you come from?

7.           I will ask of his address and pay him a surprising visit very early in the morning to see how he looks like when he wakes up.

8.          Is it not the person I am going to live with? I have the right to look at him very well.

WHO IS YOUR ICON?

9.          Who is your Icon, if you are a woman? Have you heard about all these women we are mentioning their names? Those with good character and virtue. Those that respect their husbands. Those that their families are in peace.

10.     Those that bring progress to their communities and their families. Those you can run to when you are in trouble. Those that are ready to answer anytime you call them. Those that can hold their families. Even if their husbands die, they will not allow their families to suffer. They will control the family.

11.     WHO IS YOUR STAR? WHO ARE YOU PATTERNING AFTER? The quality of husband and wife affects the quality of the children in the family.

12.      If you believe it say Amen! Those that came to My house last night, is it not this topic we were discussing? I am vindicated! I am vindicated! We heard this Message long time ago, but we did not take it serious. How can you be a mad man and marry a mad woman and produce sensible people? Is it possible?

13.     The joy of the parents remains their children… IT WILL TAKE A MAN WITHOUT QUALITY TO MARRY A WOMAN WITHOUT QUALITY. You know, what will come out of their family will be terrible. It will make people to run helter-skelter.

14.     The joy of the parents remains their children, IF PARENTS TRAIN THEIR CHILDREN VERY WELL

15.     Note it. Conditional! Your children cannot be your joy until you train them very well. Refuse to train them very well, you can never derive joy from them.

16.     Let Me tell you the truth. Of all groups that say they are worshiping God, WE ARE THE GREATEST.

17.     If we pattern after the Messages we are receiving, all the advises, all the instructions, and put them in our hearts, take them into our families and use them to train up our children, truly speaking, all our families will be models.

18.     Eyes right! Look at Sister Shed today. Bro. Shed, stand up! Eyes back! Eyes back! Look at the person that is there. Who is that? [Bro. shed answered, “My wife”] “My wife!” She is my wife! You see! Allow Me to continue to be mad. If your relation is not behaving well, you will not be proud and confident of that person.

19.     You see? I do not know if you understand what I am saying. Look at how he quickly answered, “She is my wife!” He could not answer confidently because he thought I will indict him, not knowing that I want to rejoice with him for she is now “My wife”, and no more “That woman.” Yes!

20.     When you meet the standard of a wife, you become “My wife”, but if you go below that standard you become “That woman.” That is if your husband is one that knows his left from his right.

21.     It is applicable to the woman. If someone does not know his left from his right and he goes ahead to marry one that does not know her left from her right, who will judge each other? Anything that any of them does is good in their sight.

22.      Sister Vin. I know you are shaking. If I come around you, you will shake your leg. If I do not see you, nobody will see you.

23.     I do not know whether you are the one frustrating your husband or your husband is frustrating you. Ever learning and never coming to perfection.

24.     Deacon Vin. Stand up there! Are you sure he has not run away? This is because he knows that I will call him. Is he there? Fine! What does it profit you to use huge sum of money to purchase engines for industrial production which you never mobilized for over two years now? What will it profit you? Is it your fault or your wife’s fault?

25.      I will blame Sister Vin, and not Bro. Vin because Bro Vin has done his best. His best means sending the wife out to go and learn a profession, after which Bro. Vin came to Me and I helped them and they purchased two industrial machines worth over four hundred thousand, and sister frustrated everything.

26.     You are not good at going back to the classroom to teach. You are not good at establishing the business. Where do we place you? Yet your daughter is graduating.

27.     Bro. Vin! After Fellowship, come and see Me. Let us discuss about the machines. Somebody wants to buy it, so that you will use the money in something important.

28.      It has been parked for over two years now, yet the rent is accruing.

29.      Any day you go to remove it, the owner of the house will ask you to pay for the rent, then you will sell the engine to pay the rent.

30.      He bought that engine when it was cheap. Is that how somebody will start life?

31.     Somebody that has one of those engines has become a millionaire. All we are saying, is for things to be better. If you come to the side of the women, the light will quench.

32.     Look at Frank’s wife whom I thought is a human being. When the husband was alive, when you see her walking, you will think she is among the good ones.

33.      But after the husband’s death, I summoned all the Elders, the total money we gave her that day was four hundred and fifty thousand naira (₦450,000). Within four months we gave her that money to establish a business, she came back complaining of hunger.

34.     The question I asked her is, “When your husband was alive, was he giving you ₦450,000.00 in four months? Who did you eat it with? Or did you use it for frivolity?”

35.      I went to Upper Iweka the other day, and our former Brother Chigozie Ibekwe accosted Me and was greeting Me for what I did to his sister. I told him not to salute Me. He was appreciating Me on behalf of his sister Maureen.

36.     I told him that there is only one thing I want him to do for me. I told him to talk to his sister so that she will wake up from slumber. He exclaimed and said that, that is the problem they are having with her. He said that she is very lazy.

37.     He said that he wanted to start up a business for her, but it could not work because the only thing she knows is to beautify herself. I said, “Oh! Have you found out that she is lazy?” He said, Yes and that all of them know that she is lazy.

38.     All she knows is to eat and beautify herself from morning till night until the whole money is gone. What can we do to help this kind of people?

39.      Bro. Emma. Agu! You have been long in this Faith. How can we proffer solution to all these things?

40.     Education is not education until it is narrowed down to individual needs. There is academic education. There is domestic education. There is social education. There is also occupational education. So we have hazards. Am I making sense? We also have marriage education. It falls under social order.

41.     The joy of the parents remains their children, IF PARENTS TRAIN THEIR CHILDREN VERY WELL. And training them very well means giving them qualitative education.

42.     The kind of foundation you are laying for your child will determine where he or she will land, and the extent he or she will go in life.

43.     Academic education has a lot to do with your personality. The greatest burden of every family or nation is the burden of illiteracy.

44.     Put your hands together! THERE IS NO BURDEN GREATER THAN THE BURDEN OF ILLITERACY.

45.     Refuse to be self-controlled and disciplined, you die without honour.

46.     When you refuse to be self-controlled and disciplined, you die without honour.

47.     Develop reading as a culture because if you do not read you become old. DETERMINATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS.

48.     Parents should form the habit of inspiring their children using those who have succeeded.

49.     Do not draw your examples from failures. If you are being corrected, you say, “What of this person? What of the other person?” You will be drawing your examples from never-do-wells. Will such persons bear good fruits in this life?

50.     PARENTS SHOULD ENDEAVOUR TO INSPIRE THEIR CHILDREN BY MOTIVATING THEM TO FOLLOW EXAMPLES OF THOSE THAT SUCCEEDED.

51.     YOU WILL LEARN THE WAYS THEY TOOK THAT BROUGHT THEM TO LIMELIGHT, FOR THERE CAN NEVER BE SUCCESS WITHOUT STRUGGLES. THEE CAM NEVER BE SUCCESS WITHOUT SUFFERING. SUCCESS IS NEVER AN AWARD. IT IS NOT A GIFT.

52.     ANYBODY CAN GIVE YOU AWARD BUT NOBODY CAN AWARD YOU WITH SUCCESS. IT IS A RESULT OF HARD WORK. WHERE THERE IS NO WORK, THERE IS NO SUCCESS. AND WHERE THERE IS NO SUCCESS, THERE IS NO IMPROVEMENT.

53.      I know I am trailing on a dangerous ground in this area. This is the area where nobody makes a hell of noise. If I am talking of, “Wives love your husband. Love this and that”, you will hear, “Underline! Sure! Mark it! Yes ooh! Say it harder!”

54.     Today, I am no longer the people’s Voice. They no longer call Me the names they usually call Me (The Peoples’ Voice). Today’s Message is hard on everybody because I have said what no human being can say. I am hitting where it hurts.

55.     Do not think I am talking to you. I am talking to myself. Yes! In my honest attempt to train you, and to bring you to limelight, I struggle daily to go ahead of you so that you will not use Me as that bad example. So, I will struggle to remain always ahead. Then, dragging you becomes easy.

56.     Assuming I am sitting on the ground and attempting to pull you. Can I succeed?

57.     I have to go a little far away from where you are. Then, I will be pulling you. You have no excuse to say ‘No’ to what I am saying, for we took off together, and we know ourselves.

58.     Nobody here came in with golden spoon in his hand or his mouth. Whatever we have today is as a result of our struggles which God decided to recognize and crown our efforts with success.

59.     But those who were sleeping when we were struggling. We were beaten by rain day and night but they were sleeping.

60.     Early in the morning, somebody will wake up only to gaze at the sky to find out if it is raining, not knowing that THE SON OF MAN has already gone out in the rain to Owerri road, Awada, or Atani road.

61.     Some were even gossiping and saying, “The time He will use to pray quietly, He will be moving here and there. He will do this work, do the other work and also do his own work. What is He doing with money?”

62.     Yet, at the end of the day, it is you people that will eat that money. It is you people. It is this Ministry.

63.     What do I do with money? Is it not for Missionary trips? I will bring out vehicle. I will fuel it. I will join public transport. I will also feed you people. And I will give you transport fare. If we get to where we are going, I will sponsor the meeting.

64.     I was not chargeable to any Local Assembly or to any man. I will give you My private vehicle, while I join public transport. I will feed you all and go hungry. Yet, I was abused for all.

65.     I was training myself. That was what I was doing because I hate staying at a place folding My arms and complaining of headache or one sickness or the other as an excuse and then use my room as a hospital ward. Where is Brother? He is not feeling fine. The is lying down in the room. Not THE SON OF MAN.

66.     In that sickness, I will still mount this pulpit, drive home, and go to places. But to some people, only pains on the leg, the person will be admitted in the hospital. If it is stomach ache, he will go to the intensive care unit. Even, the whole family will pack. He will choose the type of food to eat. He will be carrying himself with an air of one that is indispensable.

67.     Somebody that is admitted in the hospital will add weight to the extent that before he will be discharged, he will be as fat as the room.

68.     Imagine somebody in the hospital adding weight. The person will be moving up and down. What a poor training.

69.     I trained Myself in a very hard way and it has become My nature. That is where I appreciated Bro. Ojiakor. Many were querying whether he was a medical doctor when we reached Enugu-Ezike.

70.     They never believed he is a Doctor, for there is nothing he cannot do. If it is farming, he will farm more than you.

71.     Be it any work, he will do it more than everybody. He drives a vehicle as if he is driving taxi with much strength that is the essence of being a man.

72.     If you are a woman and the man that comes to marry you is the type that carries files and moves quietly like Bro. Okoh that wears suit in the dry season, always gazing at the sky and will look like an astrologer, No!

73.     If you are desiring something, no matter his elegance, be agile. Bro. Okoh’s wife is agile. She is the light with which Bro. Okoh is seeing. I do not know how she married him. Bro. Okoh does not know how to drive a vehicle. His wife drives him about. His duty is to buy a vehicle and hand over the key to the wife, because he is a gentle man.

74.     He only carries his file about, looking for someone he will give query, like Bishop Ebenezer. Very officious.

75.     Why should I give you query? I do not have time for that. Have I finished with My work? Even if you push your file to My table, your file will be there. What I have in My head is greater than Me.

76.      I will join night bus to Lagos. Before eight o’clock in the night, but by the following day, I am already in Onitsha. Immediately, I will prepare and go to work.

77.     You will not know that I travelled to Lagos. I will also write my report for the day. Lagos will be like Upper-Iweka.

78.     In a day, I will go to Abuja and come back that very day. You bought Hausa mat in preparation for marriage.

79.     Who knows if you will not use block as pillow. If we talk to you and give example with Jacob of the Bible, and how he used stone as pillow, are you Jacob? Such people specialize in quoting scriptures in defense.

80.     THE MORE YOU ARE EDUCATED THE MORE YOU ARE ELEVATED. THE MORE EDUCATED YOU ARE THE MORE ELEVATED YOU MUST BE.

81.     The quality of husband and wife affects the quality of the children in the family. I believe it.

82.     What I mean is this: What parents go all out for, inform most of the decisions of the children.

83.     If the parents are all out for education, their children will love education.

84.     Is there anyone in Bro. Orjiakor’s family you will ask to go to Ogbete to do business and such person will accept. He will reject it and ask if his own is different from others.  Moreso, when he has not gone to university.

85.     He will tell you, “It is not my portion. Back to sender.” It is just like my son Ikem. If I tell him to follow Me to Upper-Iweka for business, he will say “God forbid! Back to sender. It is not my portion!” Yes! This is because they have known the difference.

86.     The more educated you are the more civilized you become. Fools can never concede and acknowledge superiority. This one is impossible!

87.     History and experience have taught Me over the years that the worst slavery a man will undergo is mental slavery.

88.     The level of impact you will make on the society depends on the level of knowledge you can impart on it.

89.     Look at it the other way. Anything bestowed by nature is not an achievement. What matters most is your contribution to human development and nation building.

90.     Put your hands together! What matters most is not filling the world with children. You do not have any work doing.

91.     The only work you have is to carry your children. If you carry one in your hand, you will carry the other on your back.

92.     Tomorrow your husband will say my wife has put to bed. Every year, “My wife has put to bed”, and we will clap for you.

93.     The contribution you are making to your society is feeding the society with children, increasing the population every day without making effort to reduce the sufferings.

94.     You do not know that every additional child comes with additional problem. You brought about the sickness in the world because you are not making any meaningful contribution that will reduce stress. Rather, you are increasing stress. Is there anything that brings about stress more than untrained children?

95.     Untrained children bring about unnecessary stress. Pray that one will come to your house one day, so that you will understand what we are saying.

96.     See Sister U.K Nwanga here. Does she see? It is because of children’s headache. You think she is happy.

97.     If not that God gave her a good body, she will be very skinny. Does she sleep? If she dies today, will you ask what killed her? Her children killed her.

98.     When you do not train your children well when they are too tender, at old age, you will not have rest. Scriptures are fulfilling in our midst.

There   is   nothing   you   cannot   achieve provided you are committed to achieving it whether good or bad.

Can’t we change the history of the world? Can’t we create even history that will linger till eternity, where people will quote that once upon a time, a man appeared on Earth, THE SON OF MAN by name with few individuals. Look at the standard they raised in every family so that all families will now begin to pattern after them.

COMMITMENT Preached 14th February, 2010 pg 29 Vs 34-35

CHOOSE FOR YOURSELF

Who is your icon? What sort of children do you want to have? The type of children you want to have depends on what the man and the woman are pursuing. What gives you sleepless night?

2.           Imagine a situation where a trader that is not faring well is wishing that his own son should be an apprentice, so that the son will learn business like him.

3.          To the man, there is no headway in the business he is doing. If the son should agree to join the father in doing business, he is a fool, both male and female. Can you boast with suffering?

4.          Like father, like son is good after a godly sort. If your father is unprogressive, and you want to pattern after your unprogressive father, you are more of a fool than your father. You are blinder than your father.

5.          Whatever profession you want to be in, make sure you get adequate education.

6.          Do not allow your old mentality to continue; accept your condition and then do something to change it.

7.          Accept your condition, then do something to change it. Did God say, “Go and beg?” Did God say, Go about complaining like Romeo?” If you like wear twenty eye glasses, change your name from Romeo to something reasonable, you are roaming about means you are roaming about. You are just roaming.

8.          Change your name! Anybody that gave you that name does not wish you well. Are you hearing what I am saying? Continue wearing your glasses. One day you will remove it.

9.          There is something you can cover with clothe not hunger. Not hunger. You can cover poverty, but not hunger. If you see a hungry man putting on big clothe, you will pity him. You will pity him with his big clothe.

10.     He can even eat the food meant for your little children. We have such a man here. Joshua Akpe.

11.     If he comes to fellowship, he will go to where little children are and finish their food, with his big lace. Until he was caught red handed. And the children started crying “He has finished our food o”.

12.     He will exclaim, “Hunger is disturbing me. I have not committed any crime o. It is hunger that is disturbing me. If the hunger starts disturbing me, I can no longer be myself. It is nothing but hunger.”

13.     An old man will come to Fellowship, only to finish the food meant for little children. If it is now that we come with vehicle with enough food in the boot, we are gone. He will open the boot and finish the food in the vehicle.

14.      NUGGET: A lazy student claims he can do better at home than in school. “Na lie”. When you come home, domestic activities are there.

15.     Your bad friends are around, who will lure you out. Your TV is there. Your video is there. Your CD is there! All to distract your attention.

16.     Plus your handsets, for there was no handset when this message was handled.

17.     All to distract your attention, plus your numerous girlfriends and boyfriends who will come your way to take you away.

18.     You cannot do that (study). The best environment for a student to study and succeed is the school environment.

19.      If you believe it say Amen! You are there with your fellow students and you pair up with somebody who has the same ambition with you – THE SON OF MAN (GET RID OF LAZY HABITS)

20.     ILLITERACY: The greatest burden of the nation and families is illiteracy.

21.     No matter how you can write well, and thus you are educated but cannot express yourself before the public, that education is useless.

22.     Have you heard it? Dumb education. They will be demonstrating with their hands.

23.     When you stop travelling out and fail to associate with enlightened minds, you will begin to diminish intellectually.

24.     The more you are enlightened and educated the more you overcome frivolities that are associated with human weakness. It is true! The more you shine brighter and brighter.

25.     The quality of husband and wife has a great influence on the quality of children that will be raised in the family.

26.     What parents go all out for; whatever gives them sleepless night informs the behaviour and vision of their children.

27.     The more enlightened you are, the more civilized you become. A civilized fellow is more honoured.

28.     There was a textbook I picked the other day, looked at the name of the author and dropped it after going through the preface. This was because I started noticing some grammatical blunders. I said, “Well, if the opening passage could not attract Me, there was no need going further.” So, I set it aside.

29.     PLEASE BRETHREN, HELP WHERE YOU CAN. Help where you can! DO NOT JUST BE DORMANT IN AN ACTIVE MINISTRY.

30.     Do not be dormant in an active ministry. Do not be dormant in an active family. Do not declare yourself redundant and inactive.

31.     Let your impact be felt. Strive to make positive impact in the Faith you are in, and in the family you are in so that when we look for you and you are not there, we will remember you because of what you are known for.

32.     Why we cry when somebody dies is not because death is not real, but when we remember the state in which the person died and what the person is known for.

33.     DO NOT JUST BE DORMANT IN AN ACTIVE MINISTRY. But where you wish to be dormant like [an extinct] volcano, it is all up to you. AS FOR ME, I HAVE RESOLVED WITHIN MYSELF TO REMAIN ACTIVE IN THE MINISTRY AND IN ALL THAT HAVE BEEN COMMITTED INTO MY HAND FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END.

34.     WHAT TYPE OF STAR ARE YOU STRIVING TO BE?: Let Me work like late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dr. Obafemi Awolowo, Akintola Williams and the rest of them who never relented for one day.

35.     You heard about Ado Bayero who worked until the day he died. Great minds all went that way. Look at Diette Spiff of blessed memories, [who went] from Police to civil life. He worked until the day he gave up the ghost. Tai Solarin and the rest of them.

36.     In the Message STRIVE TO BE A STAR, in what area do you really want to be a star?

37.     Do you want to be a star in lying? A star in laziness? A star in idle life? A star in cheating? A star in criminal activities? A star in fraudulent habits? A star in deceit? A star in lateness to duty? A star in unfaithfulness?

38.      You must be a star in one thing or the other. Where do you want to be a star? The choice is yours.

39.     Do you know that you can be a star in fighting? You can be a star in quarrelling, nagging, stubbornness. “Do you know who I am? Is it because this Faith has calmed me down? If you do not know much about me, make enquires.

40.     Who are you? In short, if it had been in those good old days, I would have dealt seriously with you!” A star in teaching others lessons.

41.     Where do you want to be a star? Where do you want to make your own contributions?

42.     There is something in academic education. Whatever guy a stark illiterate presents are a mere masquerade.

43.      There is something in academic education. Whatever guy a stark illiterate presents are a mere masquerade. “We used to call it forcing guy”. Forcing guy!

44.      For nobody does anything to the extreme more than a stark illiterate who does not read the symphony of time.

45.     Is it a lie? If you see where an illiterate dresses, it is just like a masquerade. Because of illiteracy he does not know the dresses that suits him. Just to be like others, he will be a masquerade.

46.     For nobody does anything to the extreme more than a stark illiterate who does not read the symphony of time.

47.     Let Me tell you. There is something in academic education.

48.     It helps you to go through the contributions of wise people in the society; you go through what other people are saying.

49.     You are no longer self-centred. You will become a beneficiary of what other people are contributing to the society; those who are greater than you are academically – THE SON OF MAN (FAMILY FORUM).

50.     ASSESS YOUR CHILD’S PERFORMANCES: Any child that is studying and the parents are sponsoring the child very well; if your aim is not to get into the university, then you are wasting your time.

51.      Parents! Watch the performances of your children in line with what is prevalent in other schools. Do not narrow your minds and assessments to that school where your children are. Otherwise, you will regret.

52.     When you want to know the performance of your children, do not narrow your eyes on the school where your children are.

53.     Allow your children and others from other schools to stay together to know whether your children are coping on very well.

54.     If you do not do that, your child might be one that is taking the first position among the foolish ones and you will not know it.

55.     He takes first position among the dull ones, and the parents will be jubilating, “My child is well-known in the school. He always takes the first position.”

56.     Where does he take the first position? Only among the dull ones. If he is taken to a good school, he will take the last position.

57.     The worst thing that will happen to a student is to come first among the foolish ones due to poor standard of the school.

58.     The school is not a standard one, the academic standard of the school is poor and your child is there taking the first position.

59.     Your child will be taking the first position using your advice and the wisdom that is in this Faith; but at last, you will be wondering why your child failed to pass an external examination that he was supposed to pass since he has been taking the first position in his class.

60.     Start earlier to find out the academic performance of the school of your child. Some schools are basking on their former glories. The present glory is no longer there.

61.     Take this for example. Gone are the days when people will just come out and say that they are the students of Dennis Memorial Grammar School [DMGS], and you begin to accord them respect. Their time has gone!

62.      From C.K.C, from Q. R.C, from C. I. C, from Nike High School, from College of Immaculate Conception, from Awkunanaw, na lie, that time has passed.

63.     THE NAME OF A SCHOOL DOES NOT WRITE EXAMINATION FOR YOU. Whether you went to a private or public school or mission school, you will all take the same examination. If you do not take G.C.E, you will take W.A.E.C or NECO.

64.     There is no external examination that is called C.K.C, Rock Foundation, G.T.C. What you will see there is G.C.E, SSCE or NECO or JAMB Or NABTEB.

65.     Please take note little children. I am talking to our little children in the Faith. I am equally talking to our parents for you to know where we are going.

66.     In every school, they boast of having career counselors that cannot even counsel themselves because they have nothing to offer.

67.     Career counsellors that cannot counsel themselves. There are too many of them.

68.     The school your child is attending has something to do with his or her life and future.

69.     In most of the private schools today, you will be hearing good, good results.

70.     The students will be scoring seven A’s, nine A’s, twenty A’s, but when it comes to the examination that is used to know who is who, the student will fail it because, no matter where you have started; no matter where you are, the final point is entry into the university.

71.     Any child that is studying and the parents are sponsoring the child very well; if your aim is not to get into the university, then you are wasting your time.

72.      It is better for you to stop training the child now because “half education” is very dangerous.

73.     You have not completed your work until you have seen your child in the university, and the school attended by your child is irrelevant to the university.

74.     Whether you took your examination as a private candidate or as a public candidate, it is not known to the university.

75.      No matter how gorgeously dressed you may be; no matter how handsome or beautiful you may look as a man or a woman, once it is noticed that you are a stark illiterate, you lose your respect.

76.     That is why, if you watch such people, they are found very much amongst prostitutes if they are women, and armed robbers if they are men.

77.     Education eradicates foolishness or minimizes the incidence of foolishness.

78.     This is because education checks certain behaviours in a man or woman- THE SON OF MAN (FAMILY FORUM)

79.     MONEY IS NOT EVERYTHING: WISE MEN INVEST IN EDUCATION. IF YOU BELIEVE IT SAY “AMEN.” IT IS THE RIGHT INVESTMENT WITH A LONG TERM REWARD.

80.     Please note. There is a place you will get to and your money will stop. There is a place you will get to, I.M. [Who do you know?] will stop.

81.     It is not all the time that your money will give you admission or pass all the examinations for you. Bear it in your mind.

82.     To you students that are studying, I want to help you. If your parents’ eyes are fixed on the person they will give money to write examination for you — your teacher or your invigilator — say “NO” to them.

83.     This is because they are destroying your future. You will end it at nothing.

84.     Towards the end of every academic session, almost all the Universities in Nigeria publish names of illegal students; students that entered the schools illegally. You will see a student that read from year one to final year that will be rejected by the university.

85.     What caused it? Money was used to “buy” admission for the student. He entered through false way and he is being rejected through the same way.

86.     EMPHASIZE ON JOB CREATION: Emphasize on what? Job creation.

87.     Little children, whatever you want to be, starts now. You want to be an engineer? You want to be a doctor? You want to be a notable fellow in the world? Make it known to your parents what you want to be so that you will be told the way you will get it.

88.     So we have a Message like this. A small, powerful Message that is not up to sixty pages.

89.     If you want to be a famous doctor, do not expect to use Bible Knowledge, Igbo, Religious Knowledge, Food Science and Nutrition to get it. It is impossible.

90.     If you are picking subjects that are very cheap, you will end it up reading a course that will give you nothing in the end.

91.     There are people that got university education, yet those that did not get any are by far better-off. I do not know whether you understand what I am saying? One that studied music is better than the person.

92.     Watch all these young ladies and men that are loitering about doing nothing. Some of them start picking pockets and when caught by the Police, they get shot.

93.     But if you struggle your way into school, you will become very happy. You will suffer for five years or even seven and then begin to enjoy life all the days of your life. Sure! YOU SUFFER TEMPORARILY SO AS TO ENJOY LIFE PERMANENTLY.

94.     THE JOY OF THE PARENTS REMAINS THEIR CHILDREN IF THEY TRAIN THEIR CHILDREN VERY WELL. MOREOVER, TRAINING THEM VERY WELL MEANS GIVING THEM QUALITATIVE EDUCATION.

95.     The kind of foundation you are laying for your child will determine where he or she will land, [and] the extent he or she will go.

96.     If you lay a foundation for him, which is befitting for a night-sore-carrier, well, that is what he becomes.

97.     If you lay a foundation of prominence for him, surely, by and by he will become prominent, no matter the disappointments on the way.

98.     Your children are preparing to go back to school. What is the condition under which they are returning to their various schools? What kind of advice did you give to them?

99.     What kind of enthusiasm are they going back to school with? What kind of support are you giving them? Are their performances satisfactory so far?

100. Is there any need to change their current school? Did you conclude that the schools are all the same? “Wherever my son is, let him be. After all, all schools are the same. Knowledge is knowledge. What kind of school did I attend? Was it not a public school?”

101. Are you among such people that query the relevance of education? This is because there are some people that make this type of comment.

102.  If you associate yourself with people that make this kind of nasty statement, you must raise hooligans in your family.

103. TILL ETERNITY, EDUCATION WILL REMAIN USEFUL. I REPEAT: TILL ETERNITY, EDUCATION WILL REMAIN USEFUL BUT IT MEANS NOTHING TO A FOOL.

104. WISE MEN INVEST ON EDUCATION; IF YOU BELIEVE IT SAY “AMEN.” IT IS THE RIGHT INVESTMENT WITH A LONG TERM REWARD, BUT A FOOL INVESTS HIS OWN IN A DRINKING BAR, IN THE RESTAURANT, IN CHANGING APPARELS THAT WILL FADE WITH FADING TIME AND AT THE END OF IT ALL, HE WILL BEGIN TO BLAME GOD.

105.  You do not need to blame God. You blame yourself because as you make your bed, so shall you lie on it.

106. WHAT IS YOUR TARGET?: As a student, what kind of advice have you given to yourself? What dreams are you having about yourself? What are your ambitions? What you want to be in life will determine your attitude towards life. Are you getting Me?

107. You must be known for something and let it be something good not something bad.

108. When parents have such materials in their family, they feel very good. They will give such children the necessary assistance. But it is unfortunate to say that many parents do not monitor the developments around their children academically and otherwise.

109.  What they know is that whatever the day gives is what they take, whether good or bad.

110. CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN: There are some students who are very stubborn. They are not intelligent and they cannot fit in into any other aspect. In other words, they are good for nothing.

111. They are not ready to study and equally not ready to listen to sound advice.

112. What then do we do to such people? What do we do to such a person since the person has grown wild and the condition has gotten out of control?

113. An industrious student believes in putting on “the midnight lantern.” He does not play with “the midnight lantern.” But a lazy student will always lazy about every now and then, proudly calling himself a “senior student” when his head is “empty”.

114. Why? Because he refused to read, he is embarking his hope somewhere, placing his responsibility on somebody outside himself whom he will give money for him to write exam(s) for him. A shameful act! A sign of laziness! – THE SON OF MAN (GET RID OF LAZY HABITS)

115. REPOSITION YOURSELF IN YOUR BUSINESS: Parents! You have your roles to play. Little children! You also have your own roles to play.

116. Do not demoralize your parents. Do not bring home bad results. Do not keep bringing home the same bad results every year.

117. With ₦3,000 now, you can buy a mobile phone. Even ₦2,000 can get you one. If it spoils, you throw it away and get a new one. Therefore, it is better to buy ten phones at ₦20,000 than to buy one at ₦75,000 and say it is an original phone. It does not make sense.

118.  A day is coming when nobody will patronize you anymore except for the purchase of chargers that will last for one week — one week old charger for ₦20 and ₦50. Yes! It must affect your business; but if you can reposition yourselves now, better.

119. PARENTS AND CHILDREN — PLAY YOUR ROLES: Little children, the shortest cut to eradicate poverty and ignorance remains education. Pin it down in your heart.

120. WHATEVER YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN LIFE IS DETERMINED BY THE LEVEL OF EDUCATION YOU ATTAIN.

121. Those of us that never read are regretting it. That is why we are girding up our loins that that opportunity we missed can never elude our children, God giving us the enabling power.  So, the ball is now in your court.

122. Parents! You have your roles to play! Little children, you also have your own roles to play. Do not demoralize your parents. Do not bring home bad results. Do not keep bringing home the same bad results every year. Your parents will become demoralized.

123.  Parents do not demoralize your children by dodging your responsibilities towards them. Provide all the materials needed for effective learning. Provide all of them to your children and help them to make good use of the materials.

124.  You will not regret. THE GREATEST INVESTMENT PARENTS CAN BOAST OF IS THE TRAINING OF THEIR CHILDREN. AMEN.

125. EFFECT A CHANGE IF NECESSARY: If the school where your children are now cannot guarantee their future, please effect a change before it becomes late.

126. Parents! I am talking to you. If you have not been monitoring the performances of schools where your children attend, you had better start today.

127.   If you do not know the changes that are in the educational system, you had better start monitoring them now. Otherwise, you are going to raise useless children in your house.

128.  You may say, “If it becomes critical, my child will join me in my business”, but you that is doing the business, how have you fared? That which you are doing as business, does it give you job satisfaction, let alone bringing in your child?

129. A WISE MAN WILL ALWAYS WANT HIS CHILD TO BE GREATER THAN HIM, BUT FOR A FOOLISH MAN, EVEN IF HIS CHILD BECOMES A MEDIOCRE, AN ABSOLUTE FAILURE, IT GIVES HIM NO CONCERN. A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE.

130. Our people say that it is wise to go in search of a black goat in the early hours of the day because once it gets dark, the likelihood of finding the goat is greatly minimized.

131.  DO NOT BE THE TYPE THAT WILL SEND CHILDREN TO SCHOOL WITHOUT GIVING THEM LEARNING MATERIALS. It is just like sending somebody to the farm without a cutlass or any other farm tool.

132. There was a song we used to sing in those days: “Education is palatable; but difficult to acquire. If only you are patient, you will surely acquire it. If only your parents have the wherewithal, you will acquire it.”

133. EDUCATION IS EXPENSIVE BUT VERY MUCH REWARDING. I SAY IT IS EXPENSIVE BUT VERY MUCH REWARDING.

134. That is the much we will take for today. Remain blessed everybody!
